Re: Shannon Tavarez--I actually just sent in my Be The Match Bone Marrow Donation Registry swab kit about a week ago. Not because of her, I didn't know anything about her til now. It's just 4 swabs you rub inside your cheeks and mail back. It'll be about six weeks before they test it and put me in the system. I just wanted to do something that might be of value to someone. It freaks me out a bit to think about the process but the enormous odds of matching someone reminds me that if I did, how could I say no? bethematch.org if anyone else wants to do it.

I sort of miss the old Courtney Love. Granted, she's still fantastic-crazy, but what's with the designer clothes and plastic surgery? I loved when she was throwing stuff at Madonna at an MTV awards show one year. I liked reading about how she exposed herself in First Class (no underwear - legs up on the seat, LOL) or when she could care less how she looked. I miss the old Courtney Love. I'm a simple person and like to see crazy dressed up as crazy. This just confuses me.

Ugh - who thinks Courtney looks great? Her skin looks stretched across her skull with lumps and bumps underneath and tons of makeup to cover the whole thing up. She looks so terribly unhealthy to me.
