A Mighty Heart Premiere

It kind of looks like they did that whole Billy Bob in the limo thing on the way over doesn't it?
Hey there's Djimon Hounsou, so the wicked witch can't be far behind.
There she is.
You just know that Brian Williams had no desire to go, but the wife and daughter wanted to do some Brad Pitt drooling.
She doesn't quite have that Kimora swagger yet, but look out Tiki. One day. Bam! The next thing you know you are spending all day at Bath And Body Works and being her personal perfume tester at Sephora.
"Wait for it. Almost there. Tough to do the pocket one."
In what amounts to a receiving line, no doubt Geraldo Rivera now considers Angelina Jolie is close, personal friend.
Jesus. Calvin Klein drops ten pounds a week.

Check out how the hypocrite known as Angelina Jolie pissed off the media with all her demands:

So much for freedom of the press!

Oh, Christ, give me a break. This woman is being crucified almost daily in the press. Until she hooked up with Pitt, she had a publicist-free, open-door policy with journalists. Now that she's publicly vilified in almost every forum (for stealing America's Sweetheart's hubby! That's really what it boils down to), I don't blame her for wanting to protect herself and keep the focus on the film.

What do posts in forums have to do with the media? She's on a media blitz for a movie ABOUT freedom of the press, and she puts great restrictions on the press if they're going to meet with her? And BANS Fox? She's a hypocrite.

I mean media forums. Magazines, newspapers, and the internet. Again, I don't blame her because the media loves to take one or two things she says out of context and then twists the hell out of it.

Anon 11:00 - oooohhhh....got it. Thanks for the clarification.

Still not a good way to promote a movie. She could have come up with some canned answers like, "I'm here to promote the movie and not discuss personal issues." And it really sucked that she tried to ban an entire network. Girl is completely alpha dog.

Twisted, I know what you are saying, but I was under the impression that "freedom of the press" had to do with guarantees that the government won't interfere and/or censor. I do not think it applies here. That being said, I am not a lwyer, (although I play one on TV), so if anyone wants to correct me, please go ahead.

Why did she have no problem spilling her freaking guts to anyone (anne curry, marie claire, vanity fair, readers digest...) who would listen while she was overseas, but now nothing?? Seems to me she doesn't want to answer questions she doesn't get time to prepare for....because she had no problem talking about her kids & whippedboy to anne curry when she was "promoting" this film. And whippedboy must have an amazing publicist in that cindy chick because no matter who he does or what he does he never comes out looking bad. Pussy whipped maybe, but not bad.

Anon 11:23 - you're right that in discussion "freedom of the press" it speaks to government control and censorship, but I still find it a little hypocritical to be in a movie telling a tale of a person who only wanted to tell the truth and was murdered for doing his job, and then trying to censor people during the junket for the film. Any media outlet should have the freedom to attend and ask questions.

Not to mention what Anon 11:30 mentioned where you use the press to your advantage and then shut them out when you're done with them.

I agree- even as a fan, I wish she had stuck with the 'no comment' line whenever confronted with anything personal. Now it's all gotten twisted and misinterpreted and reinterpreted.....Oh well.

is it really a shocker that vagalina is a hypocrite? i mean, really! she has meticulously created a "saint" persona to hide behind so she can be the horrible freak she is.

if anyone says anything negative about her she can say, "but i took in orphans, damn you!" or "i give to countries that need help, and you don't, so there!" or "i simply cannot help it if i am the kind of woman a married man wants to be with. he was married to his buddy, for christ's sake!"

she's a show, an act. she's clarke gable.

Anon 1:28 - where did I say her hypocrisy was a shocker?

Anonymous said...

where did i say i was talking about you?

Uh, since I was the only one who called her a hypocrite, and you asked, "is it really a shocker that vagalina is a hypocrite", it doesn't take a genius to figure you were directing your comment to the person who used the word "hypocrite", i.e. ME.

If you're denying that, just who ARE you directing your question to?

Anonymous said...

um, all sorts of people. on other sites peeps *ahem, perez* are all stunned their patron saint of the flea ridden minge is a blasted hypocrite. it was an open ended comment, not an attack.

jesus kee-rist, twisted, get over yourself. "if you're denying that, wah wah wah"... i wasn't directing my comment towards you.

holy hell, batman, paranoid much?

Ditz, maybe you shouldn't be responding to people here in response to what people are posting somewhere else.

Or maybe you're just full of shit.

Yeah, I'm going with that one.

Definitely a bad move on her part, and hypocritical, yes.

But I suspect none of you were fans of hers before this, and are just using this as an excuse to bitch on her, yes?

Because what, exactly, isn't fairly understandable about wanting to keep the focus on the movie and not her personal life, when she's repeatedly said how much this movie meant to her, particularly since she's now good friends with Marianne?

I know i'd find it insulting and frustrating if i'd made such a movie, and then the only thing someone wanted to ask me is how often i'm having sex with Brad Pitt.

As I said, I think you guys are looking for reasons to hate her and choosing the easy ones.

Anonymous said...

shut the fuck up already, twister blister!!! you pick more fights with people than anyone else here, and you're really terrible at it, too.

i do hate vagalina, yes, it's true. and i'll admit i'll take any reason i can to harsh on her. but who doesn't have a celeb or politician that (s)he throws barbs at at any given chance? c'mon! *kisses*

oooh! Common ground! Kisses AND hugs back atchya.

Lara, you're right - I don't like Angelina, but I would fault ANY celeb who expects reports to sign a contract before an interview. That's just b.s. in my mind.

Anonymous said...

reports should be reportERS. Too early....

Anon 1:28,
Couldn't have said it better myself. This adopting shit is great, but I really think it's more of a PR ploy than anything. Didn't Joan Crawford adopt to boost her image and then treated her children awful?

I'm not saying that's what Angelina is doing, but she def. used those kids to boost, I mean, ahem* quell her bad girl image. This is woman who has done some shady shit in the past, sorry not buying the "saint" thing.

Love the VAGELINA name, gonna stick with it b/c I'm sure if her pussy could talk it could write a novel to compete with War and Peace.
