Happy Birthday Brittany Murphy
Brittany Murphy turns 32 today. What was once a promising career has been marred by some really bad movie choices followed by some really bad relationship choices and sprinkled with some really bad substance choices. That all equals one career right down the drain. I will say that when she has her act together she is a decent actress and I have hopes for her to get back on track. If you haven't seen it, The Ramen Girl is a good movie and shows that she is capable of doing more than marrying the ugliest guy on the planet.

You mean, besides marrying the ugly guy and getting lip-fillers, too? Yeesh. Hopefully she's getting to a point where she cannot afford to re-inflate.
Don't forget bad plastic surgery choices.
It would be nice to see her have a second chance.

i wish she'd clean up her act too. you're right about The Ramen Girl. i liked it a lot.
It really is a shame, because I think she had some real talent. But as my friend says, that ol' devil's dandruff" turns brains into mush.
I feel bad for Brittany. At least she never had that whole feeling of entitlement that follows Paris, Lindsay, the Kardashians, etc. around.
She was a good actress that killed her own career off.

Sad. She's probably even a better singer than she used to be actress, but she seems hopeless for anything these days.

I love "Faster Kill Pussycat" with Paul Oakenfold, too. When I first heard it, I was shocked that it was her!
Hard to believe she's just a year older than me. Hope she hold it together at some point.

Such a waste- she is a pretty decent actress with some memorable roles, and she was at one time pretty. Those lips just look all kinds of wrong, and the whacked out look in her eyes isn't helping things either. I hope she can one day get it together.

or maybe her doctor was dyslexic and got the upper and lower lips mixed up---a larger upper lip doesn't occur in nature.
@Desiree - I think she got into meth and crack - I remember it from a blind about how she went off to a photo shoot in another city but scored first and never showed up.
I remember thinking it was so strange after seeing her character in "Spun" - that movie scared me off meth for life and I thought it would DEFINITELY have scared everyone in the movie off of it.

I just wish they would ban the puffy lips plastic surgery. It is guaranteed to make an attractive woman and make her strange looking everytime. What are they smoking to think that all they have to do is get Jolie lips and suddenly the jobs will come? They were working before the lips...ergo they don't need the lips to get work. Murphy, with that one change went from an easy 10 to about a 7.

Grapevine musings: mother was extremely controlling, intense scrutiny looks/body and weight issues, pushed in the business possibly leveraged because she wanted to be in it, always under someone's thumb or needing a strong figure but she, herself, nice.
She looks like that 'cause her lip hurts.
I've known good people who have gotten messed up on meth/crack/smack. Only a few can really recover. It takes hard work and support. Snark aside, life is hard.
When she tried to turn herself into the thin, sex siren -- that seemed to be the beginning of the end. Hope she can rebound. Ugh, is that her husband in the pic? To use a cliche, I know we shouldn't judge a book by it's cover, but he looks like a big-time enabler, which is a nice way of saying he supplies her with whatever illegal substances she needs. I hope that's not the case; she doesn't look frail and rail thin in the pic... maybe she's off the crank and other crap.
She was good in "The Dead Girl" .. everyone in that movie was great .. and it was haunting. Haven't seen "The Ramen Girl" will need to check it out. I hope she gets her self together .. she does seem to be talented aside form teh drugs and bad lip filler/trout pout.
And .. uh .. nice pornographic pic there "Dick" ...amazed no one has noticed what your pic actually is.
I love love love Brittany. I own around 17 of her films on DVD, so indeed i am a bit of a fan. I hope she sorts herself out soon too, some of the newer photos i've seen of her are just sad :(
I think she looks good in that one with ugly guy though.
