Today's Blind Items
This actress is C list through and through. She does movies and has been in some huge ones and she has done television and been in a huge series. Not the star, but not just a one line thing either. You would recognize her but probably wouldn't know her name. Anyway, last week she called the fire department to her home. An actual home because she has family money. She told the department that someone had dropped a cigarette in the sofa and it caught on fire. When the results didn't match what she claimed, she finally admitted she and two friends had been freebasing coke and that is what torched almost her entire living room.

I hope like hell this isn't Judy Greer... but it's who I thought of immediately. Not sure about family money though.

Conchata Ferrell was in some huge movies including Edward Scissorhands and Erin Brockovich. She plays Berta the housekeeper on Two and a Half Men. Solid C-List, but not easy to name. I can't fit the family money clue.
Not Rashida. She's not C list "through and through" because she gets leading roles and/or 2nd billing. C list is further down the scale than that in minor roles. Not Karen on The Office, Ann on Parks&Rec or Zoey in I Love You Man.
Besides who probably wouldn't know her by name? Especially here where people think she's Enty's spy.

I don't think this could be Mila Kunis. Her family were Rusian immigrants who came here with little money. I like the Rachel Bilson guess, but how about somebody in a Hollywood family? Enough family connections to get the foot in the door, but not enough for real stardom yet.

To me "you would recognize her but probably wouldn't know her name" rules out about 90% of these guesses. It's gotta be a character actress type and probably older.
Jennifer Coolidge is a good one for the career part (Legally Blonde movies were huge too). Dunno if she comes from money though. Ditto Judy Greer.

@RocketQueen - Samaire Armstrong is a great guess. I had to google the name, and now that I have the face, she actually popped into my mind whle reading the BI. I was thinking one of the girls from the OC because it was such a huge hit. This very well could be her...
And my two cents about the age; I think this may be someone younger. Enty says: "An actual home because she has family money".. This, to me, implies someone younger who necessarily wouldn't have a nice home in L.A., but with family money she is able to...And, who knows who the 2 friends are?? They could've been older??

I've come lately to this blind, so probably no one will read this, but for what it's worth:
How about Mary Crosby? She's was on Dallas. Hell, SHE shot J.R.!! Doesn't get much more huge than that. Being Bing's daughter she'd have family money. And while lots of people might recognize her face they wouldn't necessarily know her name. Not sure about her movie credits, though.
Then there's Janine Turner, although I'd say that she's a B-list. But she's been in a big show with "Northern Exposure". And her family is loaded, big time. She had a small part in Steel Magnolia's which was a big hit.
Does Brenda Strong (Sue Ellen Minksey from "Seinfeld) come from money? She's also the voice of the dead woman on "Desparate Housewives". I don't know about her movies.

Mary Crosby may not have family money. Der Bingle was known to be very stingy and left all the money in a trust that they couldn't touch until they were 65. Der Bingle was not the nice guy he portrayed in the movies.

@ rdmtimp Good to know. I love her Seinfeld character. I just threw her name out there because she's been a small part of lots of big things, and everyone knows her face and/or voice, but not her name. I lean more toward the Janine Turner guess anyway. Although she's probably too well-known.
