Pia Toscano Dumped Her Dude For Mark Ballas
For some reason, I noticed the DVR had recorded American Idol for the week Pia Toscano got eliminated. I had not watched the show since the auditions, but remember reading about how this was such a shocker she got eliminated. Well, I watched the whole show from that week and she was by far the worst of the week so I don't know what the big deal was. I did not think she was all that. Apparently though she thinks she is all that which is about par for the course in LA. Apparently she has taken the road where you try and make yourself relevant by dumping the long time boyfriend and hooking up with the first celebrity willing to give you the time of day.
The NY Post says that Pia pretty much started ignoring the long term boyfriend as soon as she got some fame. This is a pretty common occurrence whether the person is male or female. I just think that Pia overestimates her talent and thinks she is going to be a huge star and I think she will find that a few weeks on Idol has been done many times before by people a lot more talented than her and all they do now is ask if you want fries with that. I wish her well, but she might want to think about things a little more before she starts burning all those past bridges.

I liked Pia Toscano a lot, in fact I quit watching American idol after she got voted off. Don't know about any entitlement issues or boyfriend issues, but imho she is a very talented singer. But unfortunately nowadays you can't win American Idol unless you're a cute boy because the tweener girls are dominating the vote.
^^totally agree. It's not even interesting anymore. It's girls between 10 and 14 doing all the voting. Who else has time to vote 1,000 times for one person?
She's a better singer than you give her credit for, Enty, but her stage presence was horrible.
The tweener girls have taken over and I don't care who wins. I'm looking forward to The Voice.
Not sure how true it is but TMZ is reporting that she broke up with the long-term bf a few months ago...before the Idol fame. I liked her voice but hated her stage presence.

Frieda Pinto (My Love and Nightly Fantasy) dumped her longtime boyfriend during Awards season when "Slumdog" was nominated.
She's been with Dev ever since.
It happens.
She's a very talented girl, but she wasn't very likeable because she comes across with an attitude. She knew she was better than all the other contestants and it went to her head. Only probably is, she's not better than a lot of artists out there. She's no Celine, Mariah, X-tina, Jennifer Hudson or Leona Lewis. Not even close. Her voice is good, but it's not unique.
Also, you know the cutest guy will always win and the girls will never win from now on, because it's all the young teeny boppers who are voting for looks, not talent. Pia should have won...and everyone knows it. Unfortunately, she knew too which was her demise.
I wasn't surprised at all when she got voted off. She does have a nice voice but she's boring. There is absolutely NOTHING different or special about what she does. She blows out her hair, she sings wailing ballads and wears copies of things J-Lo has worn to various premieres. Boooooring. I'm team Casey Abrams all the way. Or that Hayley chick, I like her too.
I will watch "The Voice". Should be interestting, as long as I can ignore that douche from Maroon 5 *horf*.
This is the first season that I've really liked the top 10 (well 11 since Seth Rogen's brother was "saved"). I think they are all extremely talented. I really liked Pia and think she has a very strong voice. You can't really judge from one show.
I've been rooting for Paul McDonald and Lauren Alaina (sp) from the beginning.
The one that seems to already have a big head, to me, is James Durbin.
Wanna talk about Idol Big Head Syndrome? How about the biggest one of them all, Jacob Lusk?? I thought he was barely tolerable before but after his Man in the Mirror rant, I wanna punch him in his big fat head every time he comes on my TV. And when he asked if that TMZ girl was single?? High-larious.
While we're on the AI topic, what in the hell is will.i.am doing there? He's like the little sycophant puppy following around the big bulldog (Iovine) from Looney Tunes. And he's gay, right? I had never heard him speak before so he wasn't on my gaydar until now.

I only like Jacob Lusk for his glorious manboobs. He has a great voice too but really has a hard time staying on pitch because he gets SO EMOTIONAL AND JESUS-Y.

That TMZ sketch made me EXTREMELY uncomfortable. Especially James Durbin.
