      @Sarah; Ariel is with her 1/2 sister/ guardian because her parents balked at her adult bf, so why would her dress be a problem?

    Agreed, that dress is far too mature for Ariel.
    Not liking Cate's dress.
    Mindy Kalin's stylist should talk to Lena Dunham. They always dress her nicely and they have similar body shapes.
    I think Gretchen Moll looks great there.
    JLD's top looks wonky. And she looks like someone else but I can't think who.

    I am with nancer and laura.. the waist colour shift of the dress is all wrong and it makes her look pregnant. also the boobage area looks weird.. it's like she put two sicilian oranges in there!

    Actually, O_0...Ariel is with her sister because her mother is fucking nuts and the court found her an unfit guardian who was only interested in the money Ariel was bringing home. The mother only circulated the "Adult boyfriend" in the bedroom story after the courts intervened. The mother has since attempted to regain custody on more than one occasion and each time the court has denied her request.

    Her father oversees her money, btw, not the sister who doesn't accept any money to care for Ariel and is relatively wealthy in her own right.

    Nobody ever says anything when teen girls with small boobs wear gowns that show even more. I've always had big boobs and it's not fair people. Discriminatory to big boobs is what I say. :)

    Ariel's dress seems ill-advised, but as the mother of a 15-year-old girl, I can pretty much assure you that no one forced Ariel to wear her dress like that - or could stop her from doing it.

    Wow. That modern family girl looks terrible. WTF? My parents had no problem controlling my clothing choices. They took what they didn't like and destroyed it. As a 15 year old, I was not the head of my household.

    Still hate Cate's dress, still love her. Good color, that's about it.

    Gretchen Mol looks like she's wearing a surfer outfit gone wrong.

    The rest - meh. Anna Gunn looks good. Mindy is awesome, she needs a better stylist.
