ReplyDeleteaawwwwww sads
Loved him on NCSI as Mark Harmon's dad…RIP
ReplyDeleteWaite was a solid, reliable talent. Point a camera at him, and he always delivered.
ReplyDeleteI remember a few months ago, I was flipping channels and came across some second-rate 70s "blaxploitation" flick in which Waite played the main villain, a homicidal and cowardly pimp. That was a real brain-bender, lemme tell you!
I was really enjoying him recently as Mark Harmon's father on NCIS. I wonder if they'll do something to commemorate him.
I can't imagine him playing the bad guy! That wld have flipped me out for sure lol
DeleteMay you RIP Mr. Waite.
ReplyDeleteI don't know who he was, but RIP anyway.
ReplyDeleteRIP. Also enjoyed him on NCIS.

ReplyDeleteCouldn't stand the Waltons...too fricking depressing, but loved him.
ReplyDeleteHe played a scary bastard on Roots, too. RIP.
ReplyDeleteHe seemed like a good man. Goodnight, Ralph. Rest in peace.
ReplyDeleteRest in peace. Great actor. Will be missed.
ReplyDeleteAww the Waltons was the best! I loved to watch it and laugh at the obviously not-Virginia scenery. But it was a great show. I bet my family knew the real family the show was based on, they are from that area and I've been to the town a few times. Pretty cool stuff...RIP Ralph Waite.
ReplyDeleteWaite was great in Cool Hand Luke.
ReplyDeleteI hope this is the third and final one: Shirley Temple, Sid Ceasar and now Ralph.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sad week.
I came late to "The Waltons" when it was on the Hallmark channel, and loved him. Like others said, he was great at Mark Harmon's dad on "NCIS"...you could have sworn he really was Mark's dad. I'll miss him on "NCIS."
ReplyDeleteRIP Mr. Waite, always loved your work.
ReplyDeleteDidn't he play Gibbs father on NCIS?
ReplyDeleteRIP Mr. Waite.
I just watched him in "Angel City" on YouTube a few days ago. He broke my heart in it. R.I.P
