So sad, he as definitely that guy in everything. He looks older than 65 in that pic :(
ReplyDeleteAgree, great actor…but def seemed older than 65
ReplyDeleteRIP. He played sleazy characters really well. I remember he was Beth Raines' father on The Guiding Light and that character was as slimy as you can get on tv.
ReplyDeleteWe need a gif of Carrie doing a big, ugly cry.
ReplyDeleteRIP Mr. Rebhorn, you will be missed
I remember him from Law and Order. The man fought cancer for over 20 years. That will make a person look old. T. W.
ReplyDeleteI remember him from As The World Turns also, Sandy. But I thought he was Beth's stepfather!
ReplyDeleteNo he was Bradley Raines and he was always looking at young Beth like he was gonna molest her Surfer. Poor Mrs. Raines was kinda beat down dealing with him too.
ReplyDeleteBecause on the show, his character was a rapist. He also raped Holden's wife Angel on ATWT. He made a great bad guy.
DeleteYou're right Sandy. He was super slimy.
ReplyDeleteWonder what the cause of death was
ReplyDeleteI finally found out his name. Twenty years of fighting with cancer. Just wow. Every day, though, they are discovering more and more. There seems to be a boom of knowledge the last few years, as if all the fund-raising is finally coming to something.
ReplyDeleteThat story line with Beth was way ahead of times. You simply did not discuss things like that back then. Ah well, I miss GL & ATWT. RIP to the ultra talented Mr. James Rebhorn.
ReplyDeleteRest in peace my friend, good journey.
ReplyDeleteHe was a longtime favorite of mine. He always brought a sense of simple truthfulness to every role he played. I'll always remember him with great fondness playing Harrison "Stormy" Storms in the second episode of Tom Hanks' HBO miniseries "From the Earth to the Moon," and as the heroes' boss, Special Agent Reese Hughes, in the USA Network's "White Collar."
ReplyDeleteHe will be missed.
Did you seriously remember him from seeing From The Earth To The Moon, @JAS?
ReplyDeleteRIP.
ReplyDeleteHe always played the aashole who was bested. But he was a fine actor. RIP
ReplyDeleteI remember his character in Independence Day...RIP.
ReplyDeleteThe cause was said to be skin cancer...prayers to his loved ones
ReplyDeleteI remembered him from Independence Day, Blank Check (ha), and as Stormy in From the Earth to the Moon also.
ReplyDeleteCocoaBeachBunny: That's not the first thing I saw him or remembered him from, but it's probably my favorite role of his.
ReplyDeleteI watched that series too but didn't recognize him. Well done.
DeleteSo sad. I had no idea he battled melanoma for so long.
ReplyDeleteGod Speed.
This bums me out so much. He was a terrific actor! RIP.
ReplyDeletewhen i read the hunger games i kept picturing him as snow.
ReplyDeleteI always remembered him as Henry Lange from ATWT-oh he was such a creep! So I guess that means he was a great actor. RIP
ReplyDeleteBradley Raines and Henry Lange were two of the worst characters ever, because James Rebhorn played them so well...RIP.
