Your site layout is beyond wretched, and to pour extra salt in my wounds there is audio in your ad. You shouldn't of hired your child to do it. There are different ways to get clicks. Last time im coming here.

I like sandybrook's guess and like X, I'm totally over the complaints too. I use adblock on my laptop and poof, no ads. Had to make a couple of adjustments to get rid of the audio ad, but it worked. There are no audio ads on my phone. Ads, yes, but no more than what I see on Dlisted or even FB articles. FYI, there are also audio ads on other sites, even news sites, and there were audio ads and tons of ads people complained about on the old CDAN site too, so I remain at a loss for the hullabaloo.

This ad site taboola has made inroads into many of the sites I read, not just here. Fortunately my mobile doesn't support flash so not dealing with that and adblock takes care of what I would be seeing on the comments page.

I mean, we all know they're not really leaving -- it's a passive-aggressive bully tactic to try to get the site owner to change things -- but surely they'll eventually realize it isn't working and knock it off?

@sandy Maybe that's why I haven't had as many issues as others have had.
On a Note 3 I find using the desktop version makes for a less clunky experience. Still, I wish it were more user friendly and don't consider it "whining" to say so.

My PC works fine with this as well and firefox takes care of the ads. I think the delay in loading them causes the clunkiness for the most part. The last time I looked at his mobile site it still wasn't fixed though, no place to comment.
I'm sick of the whiners to. Just leave already! I have no problems with ads and I like the new layout. Maybe they need to buy new computers, or at least update their adware.

Yeah, yeah, all the newcomers who nobody ever saw on this site before the vast majority of longtime regulars fled in horror -- but they're totally real users who've been and completely unnoticed for years, and not at all Enty's sock-puppets who show up only complain about complaints -- are sick of complaints about the new layout.
I've been here for a good long time. I know who's also been, and who showed up recently. The vast majority of the community Enty used to claim to love and be grateful to have left, and they've left with the perfectly viable complaint that the new site layout is crap. It is crap. It's absolute crap. I've been a professional web designer, done it for a living, and this site design would have been rejected out of hand as hard to read, hard to navigate, hard to post on, and deeply unattractive.
I don't bitch about it, but they were right to stop using the site, and the ones who still point out the multitude of flaws are right to do so.
Be "over the whiners" all you want to, but they're right and you're not.

Well I'm a long term reader who hasn't posted in the past because I don't do Google. What is annoying to me about this site is how hard it is to navigate. I like the cleaner look, but the video ad is totally annoying and I turn the sound off. Every time you click on a new story the ad starts up again. I'm sorry that is just poor design. I used to check the site several times a day, now I condense all my misery over the new format into once a week or so since by then many of the other gossip sites have picked up the blinds and I can read them more easily on them.
I agree with the dissenters but it really is a waste of time to complain. It's blindingly obvious that the site is neither owned or being run by the person who began it anymore, most of the blinds now are either fabricated, factually distorted, or just plain lame, and the remaining articles are poorly written at best, self-serving sanctimonious drivel at worst. In short, lingering memories of what the site once was are seductive and keep us returning, but there's none of the quality we knew to come back to anymore.

Site works well in my laptop even without adblock, I encountered problems using the mobile site, it sucked then I switched to the classic version, turned out fine. Yes it can be annoying at times but I don't really mind. I like reading the blinds and comments so I don't complain much about it.
