This female, who is a former A list television star and B list film actress had to have her stomach pumped a few months ago because she ate a brownie laced with more than the pot she thought was in it. Turns out some friends of friends brought the special brownies, while she thought she was eating brownies prepared by friends. It happened after all the guests had left, but the hosts were still there. She started freaking out within 10-15 minutes, and then collapsed. A private doctor at the resort was called in and her stomach pumped.

On another note,as I've been reading all these 2007 Reveals,I've been squinting my eyes & cringing at all the reminders & flashbacks they've been bringing back to me--maaaan,that seems a lifetime ago & it just brings home how we ain't angels & how much we got away with.... & lived!!..Alot of these current youngins' that we bash will make it-they're not doomed--we did!!!

What the fuck was in those brownies that would make her freak out within 15 minutes of ingestion?? The only thing I can come up with is an outer coating or frosting that could be effectively absorbed by her tongue. Weed would take 1-2 hours to make her paranoid.
ETA: yes I'm aware the BI implies they were laced with a substance other than weed. I'm curious what it could have been, what would cause that fast of a reaction from an edible. Just wasn't sure if others know the typical absorption rate for edibles.

Edibles take a while, Riven, just as you said. They can kick in quickly, in about 30 minutes, or they can take a couple of hours. None of them take ten minutes.
A tincture under the tongue can take effect in ten minutes but that's just a few drops of liquid, the blind says it was in a brownie.
Besides pot/hash I don't know what drugs you could/would bake into a brownie.
