What does Enty mean by "dual threat" here?
Not dual threat though he is foreign born. Was Alanis Morrisette there? Presume she's the ex in question, if she was there you may have nailed this.
Stage and screen.
Two recent gatherings were the Serpentine party and evening 4 July party, then Wimbledon. Unless Olivia Poulet was there (no sign of her at Wimbledon) don't see how this can be him.
Oh and Enty always refers to Cumberbatch as "academy award winner/nominee".

Unless, of course, Kinvara Balfour was at one of those Serpentine/4th July parties and Wimbledon - I believe she was at a designer's (Leger?) Wimbledon cocktail party on 22 June . . .
Kinvara Balfour was at Wimbledon--but not the same day as Cumberbatch. She's got a photo on her instagram from the match she attended (Murray vs. Karlovic) but that was on Monday, 6 July. Cumberbatch showed up on Friday, 10 July and Sunday, 12 July.
I can't imagine she attended the Embassy or Serpentine parties with nary a photo taken, either.
Unless someone can find any evidence of it, I don't think any women Cumberbatch has been romantically linked with (Olivia Poulet, Anna James, Lydia Hearst, Katia Elizarova, and Kinvara Balfour) attended any events that would fit the blind item (U.S. Embassy 4th of July party, Serpentine party, or Wimbledon). Like I said in my reply to Yeahsure, Balfour was at Wimbledon but not one the days Cumberbatch was there.
Also, I think it unlikely that Cumberbatch--given how the couple panickingly shut down every public inquiry into the baby or their family life by either refusing to answer or avoiding hot mics altogether--would allow his albatross of a wife to wander free without supervision (or a muzzle).

It's really not Cumberbatch or lie.
From the way Enty refers to the actor, it's probably Cumberbatch. Could the second event have been something more private? Some events that celebrities attend aren't always covered by the press. And Enty could be fudging that "next day" stuff. If it weren't for the foreign born A list dual threat" bit, I'd say it was someone else.
I don't think it's Cumberbatch, either, but he is a dual threat: stage and screen/tv actor. Jackman is also a dual threat (stage/screen-acts/sings-dances) but the event would have had to be ComicCon and who would the "ex" be? So many rumors about Jackman being gay . . .

I think if it had been that, umm, noteworthy, Enty would have hinted at it. Nah, both parties would need to be someone whose names we all know and someone who was already publicly tied to the A list actor. If he's got a wife, the known "ex" is female, also . . .
Maybe onscreen, but there are lots of photos of him openly affectionate with Poulet, Lou Brealey . .
Listen, we all know who the usual closeted and sorta out-out sorta not suspects are, guys like: Renner, Armitage, Luke Evans, Lee Pace, Clooney, Cooper - no one has ever gotten a single piece of info on Cumbers being gay. Odd, yes; pretentious, yes; immature; yes - maybe even crazy. But no one ever comes up with proof that he's gay..

Cumberbatch? Yeah right. Like Mrs ice queen would let go of her wallet long enough for him to go and what, practically dry hump a never confirmed ex while she had her husband with her? That during a public outing to once again try to prove to everyone they are a real couple, no Shotgun or nothing... While leaving their recently born son once again to show of like the Kardashians that they aspire to become.
