Blind Items Revealed #5

January 13, 2015

Apparently the much younger co-star he was having an affair with led to the demise of the marriage of this foreign born B+list mostly movie actor who is an Academy Award winner/nominee.

- I'm 99.99% sure this was with Abbie Cornish! he mighta w/ Kate M & others But I know he was w/ Abbie C.
-C'mon now Enty- you know better than that B+ rating..i don't care if someone argues He doesn't open a film- He's an A...a PERMANENT A.
-Loved the way he said "DRA cula".
-"The Professional" was on Sundance Channel the other night-(a favorite of mine) maaan is he great in that...(& yes i'm one of those-I still use Cable as well as Stream)

His fourth divorce and counting. Guess he should change his name to Elizabeth Taylor Oldman.

Are you serious? Gary Old Man is not sexy! And Nathalie was 12 in that movie. At what point do you call a spade a spade? B12.KnoOne is probably rubbing up on his daughter when mom is out of town. Gross.

uhhh @ Milla, is this to me cuz I never said Gary was sexy & certainly not in "The Professional".He played a psychopath w/a badge.I thought his performance was excellently demented.I thought lil Natalie was great & I loved Jean Reno as Leon. I'm not quite following & i don't get the end of your comment.(im not being sarcastic)

Malibuborebee said...

Portman's never been any better than she was in "Leon, The Professional" and Oldman was fantastic. He gives great addict/psychopath.

He is often not sexy in films, that's by choice. He was smoking hot in the piece of cinema excrement that was "The Scarlet Letter" wasted on the likes of Demi Moore. Blech.

Cheating with younger actresses is a habit. Uma Thurman was with Phil Joanou on "State of Grace" and met Oldman. They were married within a year. I'm not sure which wife he was with when they met, probably his first one.

Doesn't matter. He should sleep with whomever he wants, whenever he wants. He's Gary fucking Oldman and he is permanently A+++.

I really had a thing for him back in the day. Too bad he is turning into a dirty old man now.

Not sure who's who around here. I've seen quite some nasty things written on this site and some very direct and untrue comments made. I hope this is sarcasm on my part but based on some of the posts and things I've seen in real life I don't know where you guy(s) draw the line.

Based on @knowing what we know's comment above: Someone who takes advantage of every opportunity that comes his way and [as in your case] is particularly interested in situations where there is a power differential -- someone like that might not let such an opportunity pass him by. Hope it's not the case.

Comments a few weeks ago about Woody Allen's daughter -- with whom he clearly started something he shouldn't have when she was around 6 y.o. -- well, there was a lack of empathy for her situation if I recall.

Just hoping there's a line drawn somewhere...

just to be clear -- not saying this wasn't a great movie. It was one of the best. Point is: it's not okay to f*ck little kids and I really don't remember ever thinking of Gary Oldman as sexy or attractive, really, so I'm surprised how many people are so hot for him. Maybe all the posts are really from only one person, though.

I have to agree, Gary is A+ or there is no such thing.

there's a lot of man-love for Gary here.

not from me. Nothing against the guy. To each his own.

State of Grace. Hottest Gary ever, I wonder why Robin Wright didn’t pick up Gary instead of Penn, you crazy ass girl...

I fell in love with Gary in "Rosencranz and Gildenstern are Dead" back in the very early 1990s.

Dibs.

@ Milla, oh ok, i gotcha now & where you were coming from.I don't find guys who go after young ingenues appealing at all. That's just me.I think it's a bit wierd & usually done for their own sense of feeling attractive, young & virile still..same for women)I don't agree w/@Knowing what we know's comment(cuz i always mumble 'well that's a downer kinda bummer comment when those general "that's just the way it is folks" generalizations are thrown out there-they're silly at best imo) but we're all entitled to our opinion.I DID NOT take away from@Knowing's comment though that he was inferring that Gary was a pedophile-or men in general given the oppurtunity-No,No,No--I took it as Gary hits on younger actresses on set.(Abbie Cornish is 33 yrs. old btw) & that practice isn't uncommon given the oppurtunity.
-And he was kinda cute as Dr.Smith in "Lost In Space".
-People will always be divided on Woody Allen-the posters were not so much being insensitive to the daughter but rather saying that it was heard in a Court Of Law-all the evidence-ALOT of evidence-the good bad & the ugly-AND The Court Found that there was no wrongdoing on Woody's part so move on.Some Commenters didn't agree & never will w/The Court's findings.
I won't get into my personal opinion on him though.
-In Short, There Is CLEARLY A BIG LINE DRAWN from what I've always read here. End Of My overly long response.I just felt badly that you may've misinterpreted something that seemed upsetting to you. : )

btw, @knowing what we know's comment made me shake my head & chuckle--alot of what's written ya gotta take lightly & in good humor & not take it to heart.

back again said...

And @knowing what we know ALSO wrote:
"Can't wreck a home that doesn't want to be wrecked"
-I like that one..
(i would just add to the addage "unless someone slipped a mickey into one's drink")

He absolutely transformed into Sid Vicious in "Sid and Nancy"(as brilliant actors oft do) and that's when he caught my eye.Whether or not a Sex Pistol fan, I recommend everyone watch it just to get the depths of his talent, eg gift....and that ability to - compel an audience to watch.Daniel Day Lewis has it - it's quite magical- mysterious, frequently dark, but riveting.Hell- he even made the despicable Rasta drug dealing character in True Romance charming at moments. But yes A + is absolute , and his personal life- ? Not mine to judge, but he's been healthy and sober for a longtime, so his choices are lucid ones .

+1000 to all of these-Rosencrantz film , Sid film..all of his characters& then it's the same guy in Tinker,Tailor... he's one of those who sets a bar that most actors hope to reach or at least "Tiptoe" ...(swidt) smh

I don't have any opinion on whether or not Gary Oldman is sexy, nor do I have an opinion regarding his alleged cheating, but I do know he's an absolutely brilliant actor, probably the best of his generation. It's a shame that even after vanquishing his addiction to the bottle, his career was hindered because he's an outspoken Conservative. Many in Hollywood are, of course, but they keep it a secret, and publicly they play the part of the typical Hollywood limousine liberal. Too bad Gary wasn't more willing to play the game; he's be starring in films instead of settling for supporting roles.

Many non-UK Gary fans wont've seen this. Young Gary and Tim Roth. Check it out if you can find it.

Oldman is a brilliant actor (he was robbed when he didn't get the Oscar for Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy) but he's also a raging unrepentant anti-Semite, so he's dead to me. This goes beyond just being conservative.

Molina F. Purworki said...

Yeah, but how faithful a man is also determines his options. Like how you ended up with Dorana Baztrop instead of me? I don't think that's what you wanted.

Blue Jeans said...

The Professional is one of my all time faves, SO GOOD.

TopperMadison said...

Ooo! And Alfred Molina's in it too!!

Now I'm thinking I need to rewatch "Prick Up Your Ears", too. I remember that being a very powerful and amazing film, but it's been a good 20+ years since I've seen it.

I guess my weekend is set. Thanks @Slang King!
