I like Mindy and feel sorry for her at the same time but she's just asking for trouble. In this day and age when everyone takes selfies and videos on their phones and skypes at the drop of a hat, how on earth would someone fall for a you-can't-see-me catfishing scam?
She's a series regular now and she seems pretty happy with her GF on Instagram. Who knows though!

Mindy thinks she is a super beautiful, super talented, super funny, stahhh. And she is none of those things. She's OK looking, fairly talented (but a mere fraction of what she believes herself to be), and is a sidekick at best. AT BEST. She dates like she's JLaw in looks and achievements, but she's Mindy Kaling in looks and achievements.
