After the whole Russell Crowe/Meg Ryan backlash and bomb of a movie, studios can be apprehensive about giving huge roles in big budget movies to someone the public dislikes because of perceived home wrecking. This foreign born A- list mostly movie actor is set to hit it super big but both of his last two “relationships” involved women who were engaged or in serious relationships when he broke them up. It actually might be three consecutive “relationships.”

I've heard this before but I think the dynamic is different. I call it the dufus dynamic where the guy is made to look ridiculous, weak, and awkward. So much so he hurts his brand.
Did I miss the lede? So who is the guy doing the breaking up?
So are we talking about Tom Hiddleston here?
Russel Crowe went on to win the Oscar the year after Proof of Life. Meg Ryan, on the other hand, had such a turn from America's Sweetheart to Blowhard (who also happened to blow off her moviestar husband) that was the beginning of the end of her career.
I agree with Jack on one thing, though: It's impossible to take Tom Hiddleston seriously now, the fauxmance is so ridiculously cheesy, it's plain bad acting, and any sexy or sharpness he had to him is 100 percent gone.
Good on Lara for ultimately winding up with the ridiculously hot Raza Jaffrey! He was Aasar Khan on Homeland, for the uninitiated. Lawd he's fine!
So is Huddleston supposed to be the next Bond? Is that why he is about to hit it big?
Raza Jeffrey was also HAWT in Mi5 and also Elementary. *yum*
Really like LP. She was great in Davinci's Demons and stole her scenes in that BBCA Ian Fleming biopic thingy.
ps: how does CE qualify for this? Wasn't he born on Bahstin? Plus all he does is Avengers so he's already hit it big?
Meg blew off her B- movie star cheater husband when she fell in love. She got a raw deal. That doesn't happen to anyone now.
I'm sure everyone knows that Meg's ex husband is soon to be another woman's ex husband, up to his old tricks no doubt. I never got his appeal.
Hiddleston is in a different category so this doesn't apply to him. It's not about breaking up a serious relationship, it's about a PR attempt gone horribly wrong, domage.

I have a theory all this swift publicity was made to secure his place as bond/introduced to a new generation of bond-lovers via swift-worship...
but it is backfiring, MAJORLY.
I think they are gonna give it to Idris Elba bc hiddleston has really created a mess. if there was any doubt that taylor swift makes deals with closeted male celebs in exchange for PR....there isnt now. Hiddleston is gay.
I'm calling BS on the Lara Pulver/Benedict Cumberbatch one. She was married to Josh Dallas and it was never alleged that she and Cumberbatch were even an item. They might have had a fling, but I don't think they were ever in a serious relationship or even close to it.
BS on this one. there is literally NO WAY anyone would dump Chris Evans for Hiddleston. None. (Sorry fans of his)
Aren't all of these guys in the closet ? I have heard rumors about each of them being gay. So Don't think TH is really breaking anything real up at all. Just using one of the usual beards.
Elizabeth Olsen was with Boyd Holbrook for quite a while when she hooked up with Hiddleston during filming so this reveal isn't bery accurate. I didn't even know she and Evans had dated.
There doesn't seem to be enough beards to go around. Maybe because there is more money , less work with yachting. A few years ago, there would be shame in it, doesn't seem to be any now.
Chris Evans is gay. Cumberbatch is gay, Hiddleston is gay. Taylor is a lesbian. I wonder how much he is being paid their PR team, for promo their straight images.
I think Evans is maybe Bi but not gay. Hiddleston was discussed on the gay forum Data Lounge as straight but gay for the occasion, meaning casting couch.
What about Cumby? You do not deny, he is gay.
For me, Cumberbatch will always be Martin from BBC's Cabin Pressure.
Wasn't Olsen engaged to another actor though when the Hiddleston rumors about her kicked up? And Hiddleston was at Cumberbatch's wedding, so I doubt there is any riff between them. That said, I think Hiddleston has really shot any chance at Bond he *may* have once had.
Yes!+ And he had come such a long sexy way from playing a curly-headed fuck in Wallander, only to return to... playing a real-life curly headed f., bearding for some silly pop star. Ruined.

My friend worked with Meg Ryan's brother very closely during that time. He is a musician. He told her that the whole thing was totally different from what the public was fed. Meg had a brief affair with Russell and he was obsessed and wouldn't leave him alone and she was repulsed by him. He gave her a puppy as a present and she regifted the pup immediately to my friend, who had the dog with her when she was telling me this story of how she ended up being a dog owner. So bizarre!
