Can his family not recover those items and sue the ex? Also, has the ex finally moved out of George's home?

George was a musical healer. Instead of appreciation, he got legal wars; constant media humiliation; arrests in CA for things that need to be moral choices and not illegal; suffered major depression; jail time for hitting a restaurant... which for anyone else would have been probation; so called friends with their claws on his money.... I truly hope George is in a peaceful place

Considering what we learn all the time on this site, does no one find the lyrics to "Father Figure" troubling?
Also think there's a decent chance Fadi Fawaz killed GM. Not the first lover of his to die young.

I think Father Figure is about one of George's lovers. Guy was older than him, not unusual in gay culture.
I always thought George would go in a car accident. Dude died on Christmas Day. I doubt it was natural causes, but it is possible his heart gave out. In which case he really did give us his heart last Christmas. No, I am not joking. I miss George too.
The generosity of George Michael was well documented after his death and he wanted it kept hidden as he done it out of goodness and not recognition. I loved him. He had bad taste in men and had mental health issues and drug issues. This man was a leech and user who enabled George Michael. Toxic person.
I totally agree about LwoPv1 and "Father Figure"! The album is so complex and mature that the same songs can have completely difference senses depending on my own mood or mental space.

Na he wouldn't of got his hands on her belongings but her Dad Mitch is no better. Horrible man who lived his dreams through his daughter and then turned up with a camera crew when she was trying to get better. He never once helped her. He just sold her out and still is.

Poor George. I heard about George not having much time left back in January 2016 from a journalist friend. I work in the music industry and he's probably the only person who nobody has a bad word to say about.
I'm thinking junkie BLAAKE! too for this.

Yeah, I thought this was about Amy Winehouse too. And considering they were married at one point, I wouldn't be surprised if he had some of her stuff well before she died.
I loved George Michael, but he was an absolute mess at the end. When he was doing the voiceover for his final documentary, he sounded like a senior man about to have heart failure. He was fat and struggling to breathe/talk.
There were signs that he was going years before it happened. He nearly died from pneumonia in Austria at Christmas 2011. He secretly flew to a hospital in Vienna a month before he died...
I always assumed George was HIV positive and his lack of self-care lead to his meds not working anymore. He continued to use drugs, crash his car (he fell out of his car on a freeway) and cruise outdoor gay meeting places in London.
I'm a big fan, but George seemed determined to end up a gay tragedy. As usual the surviving partner is made a scapegoat, because it's convenient.
