Why is it strange for him to stay in contact with his mother? Maybe his mother doesn't want him to end up like so many other NBA players. It's better to do that than to see him doing drugs.
Preferable to showing up on CDAN for other reasons.
I'd rather see a NBA player be a mama's boy then a womanizing, abusive scumbag. Kind of refreshing.
Yeah, he should totally be taking his direction from guys like Lamar Odom and Tristan Thompson instead. Or shoplifting overseas and needing the US President to bail his ass out of trouble. Act like a basketball star already!
Nothing wrong with being a womanizer if you're not doing bad to these women. And these things are hard to see nowadays, nothing wrong in my opinion.

my husband and i dated when he was in his mid-20's. he still had to call his mother and let her know where he was laying his head every night so she didn't worry about him. i thought it was weird for a short time but then thought he's a good guy who cares and doesn't want people worrying about him.
