Don't blame them. Tour every 5 years... drive up ticket costs for rare appearances. Live the good life, make new music at home, with less time wasted on the road.
You really can't blame them - they've earned the right to enjoy some down time.
The less coldplay "sing"/"perform" the better for the rest of us.
Sounds like a good life work balance to me. Touring is pretty. Exhausting and outs strains on relationships, both within the band and with partners left at home,

Agreed, they are most boring, dull band in the world.
Chris is supposed to be a good guy,so of course he is boring. But what will we do without his "dancing"? When my Mom saw him on TV,she said he looked like he was having a conniption fit.
Totally, 100% legit reason not to tour!
A lot of bands have a ton of money and still tour. For some there is no such thing as too much money. And the fake retirement tours, don't get me started on that. Motley Crue, not even a long enough break to miss them.
Certainly don't tour if you have too much money to be bothered. However it would be mature, courteous & considerate to the people buying tickets & products if the artists made that decision before signing up for tours and selling tickets to excited fans.
Nobody is mad at this bedwetter for not touring. However, many just find it insulting that he blatantly lies about the reason why, and uses it to do some virtue signalling and bandwaggon-jumping, instead of just being honest about it or how about the novel idea of saying nothing?
good for me. i think their music sucks. the less time in studio they have, the better for my ear drums.
