Therefore, the lab puts those hundreds and hundreds of tests at the front of the line every single day. It also means that regular people wait as long as three weeks for their results. The commissioners of each of the leagues have downplayed the fact they are using the same lab as people from the general population because they knew the perception would be that the millionaire athletes and billionaire owners felt their people were more important than the general population. They also knew that if they paid the same normal rate for testing, they wouldn't be able to play sports because their tests would be with the general population. So, they wouldn't be able to guarantee the safety of the players. Not MLB or NFL or PGA.
