Today's Blind Items - The Dancing Boy Returns - An Addendum

If you happened to read the Dancing Boy Returns from a few months back, you might remember that my second job after getting representation at age 7 was modeling back to school clothes for a department store circular in the early 80s.

You might also remember that I was made to model boy's underwear - white briefs and t shirt - during this shoot.

What you will not know is that the official pictures of me in that state of undress weren't the only ones taken that day. Near the end of the shoot my mother and sister were sent away to the nearby mall with a gift certificate for the store (this was for).

The photographer said he was just going to take a few more pictures of me. That's when he told me to get down on my knees and put my hands behind my head. He kicked my legs apart with his shoe - this would be the first of numerous photos of me in poses I even then understood to be adult.

I just remember that before long I was crying, and the photographer snapped at me: no crying allowed. I guess his assistant, this woman, knew what to do (and probably had done it before with other kids), wiping my face harshly with a towel.

(It was probably a medium format camera, but I remember him reloading the film multiple times.)

You may wonder why I didn't mention it before. I'll tell you why - it is the reason I am not on social media now. Last year someone sent me a dm with one of the images. There was a message too, saying I was "hot back then," and describing what this person would like to have done to me.

To make it all worse - I don't remember if I mentioned this part - when the circular came out one of my classmates brought it to school and passed it around the playground. It wouldn't be the last time.
