Today's Blind Items - The Mating Call
A lead actor for a new CBS detective show that recently wrapped in Montreal had an unexpected and unplanned film gig during his time in Canada. An amateur nature documentary crew was filming about an hour outside of Montreal in the forest earlier this year, hoping to capture footage of native species. They heard what sounded like a moose mating call (though this was outside of the moose mating season), so they began recording excitedly as it kept getting closer to them.
Unfortunately for the team, though, it wasn't a moose that emerged from the forest. Instead, it was the actor with a half-eaten bag of cashews in hand, (badly) attempting to sing 80s tunes to himself. He was hiking since he had a day off from shooting.
Even more unfortunately for the actor, shortly after this run-in, a real moose emerged from the bushes, apparently also thinking it had heard a mating call. It sniffed confusedly at the actor and his bag of cashews for a few minutes before finally licking him and leaving, all while the crew continued filming. The actor was mortified. Word on the street has it that this footage may end up in the final cut of the nature documentary.
