Jade Goody Faces Off Against A Woman With A Hammer
Jade Goody is obviously going through a lot right now. She knows she only has a few weeks to live, but apparently that is not fast enough for a woman in London. A 41 year old woman broke into the hospital room of Jade yesterday and she was carrying a hammer with which she used to threaten Jade.
Jade's husband had just gone to the cafeteria to get something when the woman slipped in and approached Jade. Jade had been sleeping but woke up when the woman was standing right over the bed with the hammer. Jade wasn't hurt.
WTF? I'm wondering if this woman was mad at Jade or trying to put her out of her misery, but if I am the hospital I would have had lots of security around Jade to prevent anything like this happening. Everyone in the UK knows where Jade is staying and the last thing the hospital wants is publicity like this which will stick around forever. "Oh yeah, isn't that the hospital that let in the woman with the hammer who tried to kill Jade? I don't want to go there."
When Jade managed to ring for the nurse, the woman ran out of the room. She was later caught by the police. Oh, but this is the kicker. You want to know what happened to the woman? I don't think you will believe this one. The cops let her go. They didn't charge her with anything. Since when is it not a crime to go into the hospital room of someone with a hammer and stand over them? They arrested her for having a deadly weapon, but the London version of a district attorney said the charge wouldn't stick so they let her go.
Great. So besides knowing you are going to die in the next few weeks you have to worry about a woman with a hammer coming back into your room because the police wouldn't do anything.

I'm getting very cynical about all this now. It's another story that has kept Jade in the news after her 'final act' of the christening.
A stunt?
Something is off with this story and I don't think it's just the woman with a hammer.
publicity stunt. (the hammer story - HOPEFULLY not the cancer story) this woman and her husband are not to be trusted.
Like I've said before I feel bad mostly for her kids. This Jade chick is a repugnant human being that has made money off of her racist, effed up behaviour since she was a reality show contestant. Everything she does now is for publicity and money (she says for her kids and I hope to God she puts it all in a trust fund for them) but as someone else here said this is a karma thing.
it seems like they never do shit to people in the UK. why haven't they done anything to amy shithouse? and here they just let a crazy hammer-wielding psycho loose? she could get her hammer and go right back up there and get the job done next time.
I don't mean to be an evil cynic, but something about the entire Jade story doesn't smell right. I've had family members fall victim to cancer and none of them could move at all w/o assistance in their final weeks, and yet she has managed photo shoots, a wedding, etc. I'm just sayin'.
That is ridiculous! Do you honestly think the hospital would be in on a sham cancer story? And how, pray tell, do you think she would get out of it? A miracle perhaps?
Also those that think the hammer woman was all for publicity - same question (but add the police and the batshit woman too). Who on Earth would want a reputation (not to mention possible criminal record etc) by pulling that stunt?
It's like saying Rihanna lied about it all for the publicity!
The story I read was that it was a gavel, not a hammer...and that the woman had come to the hospital from church, where she had spent hours praying for Jade. the woman was actually praying over Jade when she woke up and called the nurse.
A bit of a different spin, you know? By the way read it from a British paper.
According to the Daily Mail paper, Jade Goody doesn't want to press charges against the woman. But the hospital sure is embarrassed

It is true .. English law is a thing to behold. Not like here, that is for damn sure. Was actually warned abut it before heading to the University College London for a year of study.
I agree with Stiffkittens. You may not like Jade (God knows I don't) but conspiracy theories are just unrealistic.
The woman appears to have been praying for Jade. Of course the cops let her go, if Jade didn't press charges, what else could they do? A hospital is a public place, and she didn't threaten Jade (the hammer was in her bag, by the way).

my cousin died of the same cancer as Jade. Twelve days before she died, she went to a dinner and party with her dancing class, and she was just fine. A week later she collapsed, and she was bedridden from then on.
Jade was thoroughly drugged in order to marry. It tired her out though, she went downhill rapidly afterwards.
