Jon Gosselin's Other Woman Makes No Sense
So, last week I posted about how Jon Gosselin was photographed with another woman who was driving his car and whom he called, "Babe." Well, the other woman has a name and it is Deanna Hummel. She is 23 years old and told People Magazine that everything was completely innocent. "We're just friends. It's absurd that anyone would think otherwise."
Well, I don't think it is absurd that people would think otherwise. I don't think we should assume otherwise, but I think it is perfectly plausible that if the photographer had not been there that something more innocent than driving his car may have occurred.
About that car thing?
"He just got this new car and I wanted to drive it. I'm into cars. We all have guy and girl friends. Because of who he is, it gets portrayed the wrong way, and it's unfair to him and his family."
Uh huh. She also says Jon never called her babe and that no one calls her babe.
OK. Well let us assume her story is entirely true. She has no reason to lie or anything. Oh, well sure, money. Oh, and if she thinks Jon would leave Kate for her. Anyway, Jon released a statement after this happened last week saying he had "shown poor judgment."
Why was it poor judgment? If the two of you are just friends than it really shouldn't matter if you were riding in a car together or that you gave a really weird reason for that car ride. Just because your married with children (Have you ever noticed the title sequence in Married With Children has a scene from Vacation?) doesn't mean you have to stop riding in cars with other people. That is why I think there is more to this than either person is saying.
Think about it. If everything were completely innocent would you tell the world I used poor judgment? What is your significant other going to say when you say something like that? Was he referring to going out? Why can't he go out? They have nannies.

I have a feeling it doesn't really matter since Kate clearly is in love with just herself. I doubt they even room together. But the whole thing doesn't seem very innocent when everyone is throwing excuses left and right which are horrible ones at that.
Im with enty here. If it were completely innocent, they wouldnt be giving as many excuses.
That being said, he really lucked out with that tvshow of his. He never could have been "friends" with a woman of that age, and who looked so much better than him, without that I dont think.

I watched 5 minutes of teh show and that was enough...
That being said, innocent or not, it's really not that big of a thing to even be reporting. I don't understand how this is news.
And to Linnea, thats a really odd comment to make about how he lucked out with her being that young. I guess you are still of that age where anyone over 30 is "creepy".

Well, it's all a moot point now, as I'm pretty sure Kate has murdered Jon by now--not for the cheating, but for risking their contract for the show about their litter, I mean kids--and disposed of the body.
I don't watch the show and don't really care but I think evryone is blowing the BABE word out of proportion. I've had strangers call me babe. Now if he called her Sugartits and let her drive his car ...
I'm pretty sure the marriage has been over for awhile. They act like they can't stand each other. However there is money to be made, so they aren't going to let that stand in the way. The only thing Kate is probably mad about is that he wasn't discreet.
Is this the couple enty had a blind item on awhile back? The reality couple that really is living separate lives but has to stay together for the show?
There is a huge contingent of people out there who pick apart every little thing this couple and their children does, doesn't do, wants to do, etc. Some of the websites against them are vicious. My thought is, if you don't like them, don't watch the show; if you feel really strongly about it then don't buy any of the products sold by their advertisers and if you feel super strongly about it then write a letter or something. Us magazine lately is nothing but a glossy version of the Enquirer...a trash mag with better pictures. I think the best thing the Gosselins could do at this point is stop doing the show. It seems like there's a "game on" mentality to take this family down and I think it's sick and destructive, and whether Kate or Jon are likeable or not is beside the point.
Frankly if I were married to Jon I'd probably morph into a super nag myself. He seems like the passive-aggressive type. It's not all her.

I'm gonna have to agree with the "maybe he meant.." side. I think he just meant that he used poor judgement in letting her drive as it would look bad. I don't know him or his wife and don't know if he is lying, but I don't thin he should be condemned based on that comment because it made perfect sense to me.
My man accidentally called his brother babe the other day. He's also done it to various salespeople. I just laugh at him.

Re: the post. No matter what you think of Jon & Kate, keep in mind that they go to church. They speak at churches. They are huge in the Christian circle. And in the Chrisitan circle, you are supposed to avoid the appearance of evil. And being alone with a woman you aren't married to could be considered "the appearance of evil".
Whether or not they are innocent and whether or not Kate and Jon are separated, I don't know.
I didnt mean to be creepy! I just meant that what I have seen of this guy, he doesnt really draw attention to himself, is funny or good looking. Nothing that would warrent the attention of all these women we hear of.
