More Bus Driving From Kevin & Jodi Kreider
In Part 3 of their interview with RADAR, Kevin & Jodi Kreider, who are respectively Kate Gosselin's brother and sister-in-law say that Kate handed Jon a contract which said he could date and sleep with whomever he wished as long as he showed up for filming of their reality show. The contract laid out what days Jon could go out with other people and what days he was expected to be home and working.
Jodi, who takes what appears great joy in making Kate as miserable as possible says that the couple would do anything to keep the ruse of family going because they are making so much money showing off their perfect family life. But, on the inside it is a "train wreck."
Now, normally these kinds of statements and allegations are made by "sources," and so you don't know if they are real or not. In this case you have someone who was actually in the house and part of the show. Is Jodi bitter she isn't in the show and isn't making bucks off it? Of course she is, but she also seems to be speaking the truth at least to the extent she doesn't seem afraid of being sued for what she is saying. Meanwhile I guess Jon and Kate are going to just continue ignoring the story and so is TLC. Their ratings are going to be through the roof when the show starts its new season and they probably won't deal with any of this until after the season or until after Jon or Kate gets caught in some kind of scandal. Just remember that none of this would have probably come out if Jon had not got photographed with Deanna Hammer. Otherwise we would all be blissfully unaware of what really has been going on inside that house.

I love that these two are talking and blowing the lid off of this lie of a reality show.
I know this crap has been a big scandal to some people I know, but I really don't care if she's doing the hunky body guard and he runs off with the school teacher.

I actually think that if there is a divorce, and only one of them is on the show, that it would be more interesting than it currently is. Sure, most of us will watch because of all to gossip right now, but if it fades the show will go right back to being as annoying as before. Watching it to see if single mom Kate's head explodes from all the pleasure would totally be worth tuning in for.
I think this show is exploitative to the children, who work long hours in a house where there is studio lighting wired into the ceiling. They provide the sole financial support for their family - how sick is that? No privacy, and now they get to have precious filmed memories of their parents' breakup. I don't care what the parents do either (who cares if they have an open marriage?), but I hope this scandal gets the show off the air.
You know what sucks? (ok, besides her haircut) Is having 8 kids and not ONE of them looks like you!!!
Don't sign it, Jon! It's your life, too, and you are not her employee.
I watched the show when Jodi was still on it. Kate expected her to always watch the kids and then treated her like shit. The episode when Jon got his hair plugs and they both left their sick kids with Jodi while they flew across the country to get even more free stuff made me never watch it again.
A while back, Jodi's sister started a blog that explained her side of the story, which is linked off the "Gosselins Without Pity" blog. If Jodi sounds pissy, she likely has a right to be.
What is sad is that no matter how it turns out, no matter what choices these two parents make, there are still eight little kids who will be the ones to suffer most. Jon and Kate are the adults and can make thier own decisions, both bad and good. But those kids have no say at all. And they have no clue what "normal" really is - for them, lights and cameras is all they know.
I think Kate got sucked up into her own celebrity, and since it was using the kids who put her there, it will be the kids who will ultimately pay for that. There is no amount of money anyone could pay me to put my child through that kind of exposure.
they should do a show called 'joint custody with jon and kate'---show a week with him and a week with her and show how shitty THAT is for kids.
probably not a popular opinion here, but if they have a civil relationship and don't fight all the time, i don't care what their private arrangement is. if it works for them and provides stability for this brood they created, then good for them.
Kevin and Jodi are wealthy, have a beautiful home and beautiful family. It is actually Kate's jealousy of THEM that made everything crash down around them. Name one family member that stands by this couple-just one. Are they all jealous and out to make money?

I have to say anytime Jodi was on that show she was so kind to those kids and truly happy to see them. All Kate seems is constantly ANNOYED. I agree with WriterMommy - you do NOT fly across the country if your kids are that sick! It's not that important. I think Kate lost it after she went on Oprah.
I also wonder how much money Kate is keeping for herself.....
So sick of this being in the press, as though any of it is entertaining in any way at all.
My take on the whole thing is, this couple is only known due to their show. The specials that TLC ran when the sextuplets were newborns were a huge hit and the Gosselins saw a way to support their new family of 10 so they signed on for an ongoing series. A ton of people would probably have made the same decision especially when the husband involved doesn't seem that capable of holding a steady job.
The show is edited so as to be entertaining. Part of the ongoing storyline was "Kate the Type-A nag, Jon the clueless dad." Otherwise, the series would've only been following 8 cute kids and after a while that would get dull. I'm not saying that Kate didn't say some really atrocious things or that Jon was edited to appear as a numbskull when in reality he wasn't. I AM saying that common sense would tell you that an ongoing reality series has an ongoing storyline, and the show is edited to further that storyline. Period.
Now I do think somewhere along the way, something shifted in their relationship. Maybe the babies got older and Kate got even more fed up with having to be the main decision-maker and caretaker in the house, while Jon was allowed to play #2. Being in charge is really not that fun to a lot of people. Maybe Kate resented it. Maybe Jon got a little insecure that his formerly chubby and frazzled wife was now a hot (hair aside) and confident mom of 8 who had her own thing going on. Relationships change. Maybe they had an inside deal so as to provide SOME type of stability for the children, until they were all older and perhaps a divorce wouldn't be as traumatic. Maybe they tried to come up with a creative way to keep the family together, until they could decide what to do later on. Who knows? I don't. And neither does anyone reading this.
EVERYONE's opinions about this family are formed based on what they saw on TV. Which was edited. To be entertaining. The implosion of a family is not entertaining. Kate could be the biggest bitch on the planet but people shouldn't be so heartless as to cheer when her family is splitting up. Kevin and Jodi cashing in on this "train wreck" doesn't add anything positive, or make it any LESS of a train wreck. What a great aunt and uncle, right? Giving an interview to Star Magazine is really not a point in Kevin or Jodi's favor, in my book.
By the way that Gosselins Without Pity website is a disgrace. Why a bunch of hateful women would create a website dedicated to tearing someone else apart is beyond me. People really are dumb enough to believe what they read but seriously, apply some common sense to this situation and realize that nobody's 100% good or 100% bad. Jodi is no more a saint than Kate is the devil. Nobody's motivations are 100% pure.

Yeah she'll pay John off and continue on as the harried but optimistic divorced wonderwoman.

kate has admitted to being controlling with jon. they certainly need councilling and hopefully that will be off camera for the sake of 8 children. Jodie and Kevin are the only ones who are concerned about the welfare of their neices and newphews.
