Mischa Barton Has Never Been Dumped - And Why Actors Have It Much Harder Than Everyday People
Where have you been Mischa Barton? I have missed hearing from her. Ever since her show got canceled she has been on her best behavior. You do that when you have no job offers coming in and could really use a paycheck. She has given a few interviews in the past month but they were kind of blah. In one she reiterated that the hospital stay was because of her wisdom tooth so she has pretty much just bought into that lie and we have already read it. Oh, the one thing I was going to write about from that article was her quote that the only reason she ended up in the hospital is because actors are not given time off to recover from surgery like that and are expected right back at work. She must have missed all the people who go back to work a day or two after their babies are born or the people who can't afford to take a day of sick leave because they don't have paid sick leave. Oh, or the people who will get fired if they call in sick. STFU Mischa. And my apologies because I read it last week I have no idea to whom she gave the interview. If anyone finds it, please post it in the comments.
Anyway, this week she spoke to Bang Showbiz and says that she has never been dumped by a boyfriend. I guarantee you that if you were to ask her about some of the guys known to have dumped her she would say they weren't boyfriends. This is my favorite quote from the interview. "I've never been dumped. One tried to make it quite mutual though so that felt as close to dumping as I've got. I kind of lost it and was like, 'You are not turning this on me. I dumped you first.'"
Is it that important to do the dumping? Really? How insecure is she?

We could ask the ladies about this, but I think women hate being dumped more than guys do. A generalization would be that it's harder on a woman's ego to fail romantically and it's harder on a man's ego to fail professionally. I've been divorced twice, both times my wives left me, and I just laugh about it, but it almost killed me when I realized I could no longer keep up in the highly technical field that I used to work in.
