Dr. Conrad Murray To Stand Trial
I don't know if the trial of Dr. Conrad Murray is going to end up in some kind of conviction or just turn into some kind of Anna Nicole Smith fiasco, but he is going to stand trial for involuntary manslaughter in the death of Michael Jackson. I think he should have never prescribed that sedative for Michael, and since he did he should have been paying better attention, but at the same time, you have to think that Michael knew the risks of that drug.
Dr. Murray had his license to practice medicine suspended which means I hope he saved up a bunch of money to pay for his defense because there is not going to be much income coming in until this is all finished.

I think the big difference between this man and Howard K. is that HE IS A DOCTOR and Howard K. is not.
Big (legal) difference when you're giving/administering drugs.

It doesn't matter how starfucked Dr. Murray was over Michael.
He never should of given him something that is only for surgery. A child can demand chocolate cake for dinner every night. A good parent knows not to give it to him.
I think he will be convicted.
I know that he was on Michael's payroll, and Dr. Feelgoods in LA are nothing new, but, he was the doctor, the professional, and it was his job to administer appropriate medication and to monitor its use.
I can't see him getting away with this.
At the very least I think he should lose his medical license because he did not call 911 right away.
what has appalled me is the hesitancy over suspending his license. what part of 'you don't administer general anesthesia in someone's bedroom' don't the people on the medical board get?
propofol isn't a sedative. it doesn't make you sleep. it renders you unconscious. the 2 states are not the same thing at all. MJ seemed to think if he was unconscious, he was sleeping and this idiot physician (and others besides him) let the PATIENT dictate his treatment, and in doing so, acted against the patient's best interest.
there is NO QUESTION that this doesn't meet the most basic standard of care, and this man should never be allowed to work as a physician again---anywhere.

Umm Ent Lawyer did you read up on this at all? Not only did he give him the meds which he shouldn't but he also delayed calling 911 for at least 20 minutes ( some folks think even longer) and did a really poor job of trying to cover up what he did. Blaming the victim doesn't seem right in this case.
