Sean Avery Arrested For Battery Of A Police Officer

New York Rangers enforcer and all around not a nice guy, Sean Avery was arrested this morning when he decided that hockey game rules applied to real life. He punched a police officer who came to his house to tell him to turn down his music. Several of Sean's neighbors had complained, but Sean did not turn down the music. The police came, Sean did not like what they had to say so he punched one. Not a good idea. Of course talking smack about all your ex-girlfriends is not a great idea either, but he does it.

Classic Sean Avery. Taking his on-ice persona into the real world now, I see.

Hope this incident doesn't give Torts an excuse to dump him from the team.

Avery Rules!

Yeah, man! Who cares if a dude is a psychopath; if he puts one in the W column for my team, that's all that matters!!!!

*gag*

He's an athlete. He could have punched the cop, spat in his face, AND kicked him in the balls.

Nothing's going to happen to him. Watch.

^Agreed. I love me some hockey, but you don't want to get me started on Patrick Kane and other hockey players that get away with assaulting people off-ice. And then there's Michael Vick...

@Rocket Queen --

And then there's Kobe Bryant...

And then there's O.J. Simpson...

And then there's the Duke lacrosse team...

And I'm sure there are COUNTless rapes and other assaults that are either disregarded or unreported on university campuses all across the world. It's revolting what athletes get away with, and it will NEVER cease to enrage me.

In the words of Fish from The Superficial: "Touchdown! Rapistberger!"

Okay, this is the true story, not what was reported here as the story was just on the local Los Angeles news, since it occurred here. Sean pushed the police officer, not punched him. And when the officer knocked on the door again, Sean cooperated completely with the officer.

Elisha Cuthbert is laughing her head off right now.

@jacksparrow -- Okay. So he PUSHED a cop?

Uh, that's still really douchey and arrogant, and that's still something that would get most of us tossed in the clink immediately.

Zactly. It's still assault.
