No One Is Watching Rachel Zoe

According to the ratings, it appears that people have given up on Rachel Zoe. No one is watching the fifth season of her show. Yes, I know. I am shocked that this is its fifth season too. These must be like British seasons that are like five episodes long. I watched Rachel Zoe's show a couple of times during one of its seasons and I didn't find it all that interesting. I did find the fact that she can seem to stand up and function despite never eating anything heavier than a glass of water frightening. I'm not a water guy myself, even mixed in drinks. I have never understood why someone would want to look like a 60 pound Mrs. Roper which is what she wants all of her clients to look like and I hope that the fact less people watch her show than a CW rerun finally gets rid of it for good.

I love fashion as much as anyone but when it becomes a life or death situation I can't watch. Maybe it's just because I'm getting older or whatever but there are so many more things to be concerned about. I've watched every season and this one is really annoying me. I've watched her show in previous seasons. I really followed it the season when the storyline was Will She, Won't She Have a Baby? And honestly, I just didn't care. I hate all the snarky people on it, aside from Joey - is he still on it? I mean if he were in my life, he would be my No. 1 gay fo sho. Her assistants all annoy me, and Brad was so melodramatic/mean.

I love me my fashion, but at the end of the day it is just clothing, so I don't understand their melodrama about everything. I do get that this is her business, but from what is shown on the program Rachel and her husband have HORRIBLE business sense, so it's not surprising to me if nobody watches her show and nobody buys her clothing.

VIPBlonde - I totally would watch those runway shows on CNN. And does anybody remember when Style Network actually aired all of them, too. The only thing I see on Style now is Jerseylicious (don't judge me) and Sex and the City reruns. I do wish there was somebody focusing on high fashion. Jolene Jolene said...: I absolutely LOVED season 1, but the show gets more and more annoying with every season. Sometimes I put it on mute while I watch the runway shows, then change the channel. Elie Saab was just stunning to watch last night, but her talking made it so much worse.

This season the fashion porn has been really good so far--they did NY and Paris fashion week but Rodger and Rachel come off looking pretty jerky. Makes me wonder if they have no editorial control when their own employees are shown rolling their eyes at the stuff they do and say.; 7:43 AM

I remember I had a job where I got off at 1am and would come home and watch it at maybe 2. It was *just* runway shows - no host or commentary, etc, with trance music for the sound. I miss it. Susan said...: I LOVE Bitchin' Kitchen. I love Nadia. I've never made any of her recipes. Everything calls for maple syrup, which kind of makes me laugh.

I loved the show with Laura Calder on Cooking Channel. She is FABULOUS. And of course, Nigella. OMG. Remember when Style aired Nigella? I so love her.

Food Network sucks now, IMO. I just can't with it.

All about Eve said...: I haven't been to the salons but I have been to the Giove's pizzerias so I think they're all real. The pizza is really good by the way. It's weird how they all turned on Gigi this season. It all started because she was talking a lot of crap about Tracy to Olivia while she's one of Tracy's closest friend and part of her wedding party so Olivia started to feel Gigi is not a real friend and stopped hanging out with her, when Gigi confronted Olivia about it she told her why and that she would be her friend again if she came clean to Tracy about all so Gigi did and of course Tracy went nuts but Olivia still not talking to Gigi because she wasn't completely honest with Tracy. Her line is pedestrian at best and at worst copy cat. I found it funny last night while in paris she kept saying she had to go to a particular store that going to paris and not visiting this store was like not going to paris at all. And O M G they had three of her dresses in the store! Shocker...she had no idea!!

but now it's just an infomercial for her clothing line. which is just so so. and she and rodger both are so narcissistic that its really hard to stomach.
