Pete Wentz Was Addicted To Prescription Pills

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Pete Wentz talks about how he used to be seriously addicted to drugs, then got sober, and shortly after his son was born and Fall Out Boy took a break, he relapsed hard. It was about that same time he said that he and Ashlee Simpson separated. I wonder if he too was tired of having to play grab ass with Joe Simpson under the table like Nick Lachey had to do. Pete says his relapse occurred in part because he said he went from being the guy in Fall Out Boy to hanging out at home all day. Pete says that being on pills makes him paranoid and that at one point he actually got his house searched for bugs because he was convinced people were listening to him.

RowdyRodimus said...: Not going to lie, I love Hydrocodone. Then again, I have 2 crushed vertebrae and nothing in my right knee that keeps the joint from rubbing together. Yeah, I need a knee replacement but can't afford it.

With that said, I do love them because I can actually get through the day without pain. So they work. Of course since they work, the doctor decides to put me on something that doesn't work and is more addictive in Morphine. I don't even get them filled.

I've found that if you actually NEED the medication, you don't get high off of it. It's when you are taking it just to take it you feel that high. Besides, Morphine makes me feel like I have PMS (I guess, as a guy I have no idea what it feels like and just imagine it's a feeling of just being pissed off 100% of the time) and want to fight someone. I've told the doctor this and he said "Sorry, the feds have made it harder to prescribe the other stuff". THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT HAS MADE IT SO THAT IT IS TOO HARD FOR A DOCTOR TO PRESCRIBE MEDICINE FOR THEIR PATIENTS BECAUSE SOME PEOPLE USE IT IN A WAY NOT INTENDED.

Makes me wonder what will happen when the Liberals over in Washington find out that steak knives can be used to kill someone and when they will be banned. (There's a difference between Liberals and Conservatives in power and the ones that are like you and me, the ones in power are crazy on both sides and only care about the power whereas we want shit fixed).

As for this, it sounds like he was mixing prescription pills (probably Oxycontin) and something off the street with booze. I've never heard of the regular pills getting someone paranoid unless he was doing 25 at a time and/or getting them illegally.; 9:06 AM
chopchop said...: @Rowdy: I had surgery yesterday and afterward they gave me Hydrocodone / Acetaminophen. It made me sleepy and relaxed but my mind was racing so much I couldn't sleep. It was awful. :-(
