Today's Blind Items - The Payoff
This B- list actress/singer/celebrity has cost her parents $1M. That was the amount of the payoff to a tabloid who had photos of the offspring on a bed with another woman making out and half undressed. The offspring was covered in all the right places so the tabloid could have published the photos. Instead they made a deal and this time it was just for cash. No trades. The tabloid needs the money to survive a few more months. I wonder what will happen when the tabloid does finally fold here in a bit. Do the parents have the only copies of the photos? Will they keep paying off tabloids? You know why they are paying off? They don't think their daughter is gay and don't want her to be forced into explaining it later. Yeah, I'm pretty sure she is gay. This is not her first time or her first other girlfriend.

The fact that it says that the offspring was covered in all the right places makes me think it is a minor. Because if it was someone older than 18, the tabloid could just use black bars to cover indecent body parts

I don't understand; if the daughter is a "B- list actress/singer/celebrity", why are the parents paying off the tabloid? Wouldn't she have her own money??
If she is under age, then she prolly don't have access to her money.
If the parents are smart or they have a good lawyer advising them the money should be placed in a trust fund for the kid until the kid is legal and give them an allowance un the meantime.
Everybody saying Willow understands she is extremely young? And someone would be responsible to turn the child molestor in if they know that person.
If it IS Willow, the blind would make sense because they'd be charged with distributing child pornography if she wasn't covered up. But still, posting photos of a 12-year-old is vile, and I wonder who would honestly be buying the magazine to see that other than pedophiles. And the magazine is...the Enquirer? Or Star?

If you spend any time with middle school kids you know making out on a bed with some clothes off isn't surprising. They are very sexually active these days. It's terrifying. The tabloid would want the shock value of who the patents are, not necessarily the sexuality of the situation.

The impression I get from the blind is that it's the parents who care about their daughter being exposed as gay. Not the daughter, but the parents. So look for conservative/religious parents for whom this would be an issue.
Next bit - neither of the parents are described as celebrities, so I think we can exclude accomplished persons like the Pinketts.
So - parents who aren't celebrities themselves, but who really don't want to believe their daughter's gay, and yet who have the bucks to make such a payoff.

Someone asked which tabloid is in financial trouble. It is probably "National Enquirer" and its parent American Media International. They did a refinancing deal in the last year and there have been cash flow issues for a long time.
Nobody would be publishing or threatening to publish any photos of Willow partially dressed on a bed making out with anyone. That would be child pornography.

If publication of scantily clad under age girls was child pornography, then every retailer with a girl under 18 in a bikini on their website or in their catalog would be up on criminal charges. If their private parts were covered and not being touched, then there would be no problem with publishing the photos.
If the photos were not publishable, then the parents wouldn't have had to pay a dime. Do you think they didn't consult an attorney before forking over a million dollars?
Personally, here in the digital age, I wouldn't believe the parents got the only copies of the pics. Even if there was a penalty written into the sale contract, it is a publication on the brink of bankruptcy. They could publish them as a last ditch cash grab a week before going under.
That brings a tremendous thought. Say the Enquirer or Star was finished, 2 editions left before going under. Would they publish all the stories they buried? Would they throw caution to the wind and tell where all the bodies in Hollywood lie?
It's pretty sad when parents are willing to pay $1 million to prove their offspring isn't gay. Who the f*ck cares? No one who isn't an old fart with one foot in the grave (do the world a favor, ye bigots, and die, already).
Being gay isn't like the plague. Being gay never caused The Dark Ages or The Holocaust. Being an asshole did.
