Today's Blind Items - Quick Hits
#1 - This married A+ list mostly movie actor hooked up in Vegas this week with a foreign born host of a US celebrity program.
#2 - This former A- list mostly television actress who had multiple chances on network television but only ever hit it big the first time has also only hit it once big in movies. She has had serious health problems but there she was chain smoking away for almost an hour this week outside an event.
#3 - This foreign born B+ list celebrity who has been on two hit entertainment shows is having trouble getting full-time hosting work because of the investigation that started last year into allegations she helps launder money from drug profits of her family.

2. Meh. "Chain smoking for almost an hour" doesn't seem very scandalous to me without an asthma or lung cancer diagnosis. She didn't smoke INSIDE the event & didn't stay outside for an entire hour. ¯\_╏ ՞ ︿ ՞ ╏_/¯

Her hit was on an "almost network", though. And she's only had one other lead since then. (And her "big hit" in films was as the support.)
Not saying it can't be Smidge, I just think there's a better match out there.

Teri Hatcher wasn't even in Men in Black 2 (or any of the other Men in Black movies). Plus she had a successful TV series before DH (Lois and Clark).

I like SMG for #2, but I don't know if it's actually right. She has starred in two series, both on networks, since Buffy. She only ever really had one big movie success. And she's a nicotine fiend from way back.
#2 Courteney Cox (one big hit Scream - you could also argue Ace Ventura but she was largely uknown at the time?) friends was obviously massive network hit but not sure how big Dirt was or Cougar Town?
Cougar Town went six seasons (or five-and-a-half after I stopped watching it), just finishing up on TBS (where it landed after ABC) only last month.
And Friends wasn't really Courteney's "first time", as she'd already been part of a hit, spending two years as Michael J. Fox's college girlfriend on Family Ties.
Jeez, with ten seasons on Friends, two on Dirt, and six on Cougar Town, Courteney's two-thirds of the way to the Michael Landon/Harry Morgan record of 27 seasons as a scripted series regular. Among those still on the low side of 50, she's one ahead of Alyson Hannigan (1 for The Torkelsons, 7 for Buffy, 9 for How I Met Your Mother, 17 total) and David Boreanaz (2 on Buffy, 5 on Angel, 10 [and counting] for Bones, 17 total). But Alyssa Milano still has her in the rearview, with Alyssa having put in 8 years on Who's the Boss, 1 on Melrose Place (original), 8 on Charmed, 1 on Romantic Confessions (forgot that, huh? Me, too) and 2 (so far) on Mistresses. So that's 20 seasons for Alyssa, going to 21 when Mistresses returns in June. Hard to imagine it will last long enough to get Alyssa the record, but she's within striking distance now.
(I know, almost nobody but me cares about this. But still.)
