This A+ list mostly movie actor is out of the country promoting a movie. A hotel employee overheard the actor yelling at one of his flunkies for not checking for bugs in the room. Electronic ones. Apparently the batteries ran out in the one they use to check and our actor was ticked off there were no spares and that he wanted it swept by the time he got back.

I remember about 20 years ago some tabloid editor or Larry Flint or someone like that offering $500k for proof that TC was gay. I think that would send anybody doollaly paranoid, sciocrank or not.

Edward Snowdon aside, the Chinese really have the West beat when it comes to electronically spying on anything and everything. When foreign businesspeople go there they are advised to wipe their computer before they depart, keep anything of interest on a thumb drive, and then wipe their computer again when they return. I'm with Tommy on this one. If I had anything at all worth hiding, I'd want my room swept too.

Whoever it was, the hotel employee most likely heard the yelling while monitoring the room through the bugs.
To be fair, if it is Tommy Girl, he is in China. Every damn thing is bugged there.
