Studio executives who have seen the draft of the script for this way delayed second installment of a franchise says the way it is written now, it will never get made. Why? The actors won’t shoot it that way and it will never even get an R rating. Plus, at its current length, the movie would run about 3 hours.

I would be so happy if this movie didn't get made.
The Fall S03 starts shooting this week, so guess the blinds about Gillian and Jamie will start pouring, as according to Enty those two are huge sluts who hook up with practically everyone they work with.

I still have no desire to even see the first one.
I've never read any of the books, and have no desire to do so, nor see any of the movie adaptations, because everything I've seen and heard is that they're absolute, utter crap.
That said? It's EL James' creation. Anybody who wants to read a "50 Shades" book or see a "50 Shades" movie owes it all, every last bit of it, to her. It all begins with her, and she's who you have to thank.
So when I see the blinds where people involved with the thing bitch to Enty (or "Ace" over at BG, or any other site) about what a pain EL James is, I'm entirely in favor of them, and whoever posts it, and whoever agrees with it, having themselves a nice hot cup of STFU.
If you love the creation, respect the creator.
EL James actually started writing fan fiction for Twilight, so her characters are based on the creative work of someone else. She did a little tweaking here and there for the books, but essentially what fans are so gaga about is bargain basement writing, borrowed characters who have no dimension, and an author who thinks she is better than what she actually is. I fully believe that just because a book is popular, it doesn't mean it should be made into a movie.
I'm well aware that "50 Shades" began as a "Twilight" fanfic called "Masters of the Universe," in which Edward was a multibillionaire instead of a sparkly vampire, and Bella was a virginal intern instead of a virginal high-school girl. That's a dandy reason not to bother reading it or watching it -- and one of mine -- but it's not a reason for someone who has read it and watched the first movie and is a fan to disrespect the writer who brought it to them, and it's certainly no excuse for supposedly professional movie-makers to go to great lengths to attack and defame the writer for the rights to whose work they've paid handsomely.
If you think enough of the property to want more, then respect the writer who created it -- full stop.

I say if they're going to make these... Might as well produce and make them NC17. I have no interest in seeing them, but would if they made them more risqué, more adult for the kinky adults! If not, its Lifetime fluff.

We all know that E.L. James wants to star in the movie, I say let her. It would be worth it, just to see poor Jamie Dornan's face.
We can and should piss all over her for being a hack.. But not for exercising the control she insisted on keeping when she sold the rights.
If the studio didn't want to deal with her, they should't have made that deal. The way they feel entitled to writers' work without an requirement to respect the writer is typical and revolting.

Reverse psychology, JAS. Studio campaign to keep it visible on sites where the fans are. Get them "whipped" up over it, make more money when it comes out and they show their support by buying tickets.

This is arrant nonsense.
E.L. James wrote a fanfiction. That's not "another writer' novel," that's her own novel inspired by another writer's work. The story, the plot, the themes -- to be honest, even the characters bear very little resemblance to Edward Cullen and Bella Swan! Even if her versions of the characters were slavish re-creations, it was just recreational daydreaming, posted on an online forum for free.
A publisher read it and thought it would sell, and came to her with a huge offer, for which she did considerable work, further altering the characters and situations to legally bullet-proof the property so they could publish it without being sued to their skivvies.
The publisher came to her, and the studio came to her -- she didn't chase after them.
I'm sorry you're so eager to combine ignorance with arrogance. You can't wear the latter as effortlessly as I do until you've eliminated the former, and hold off on speaking out unless you know WTF you're talking about. Learn that, and your snark might be worth reading. As it stands, not so much.
