Did you know there is another A+ list singer out there that is just like Britney Spears? The only thing that has managed to keep this other A+list singer out of the headlines is that she is watched 24/7 much like Britney is now. Our singer was headed down a road of hair shaving and pink wig wearing but then got involved with a celebrity who saw their potential as a power couple. He loved the idea of creating a brand with her while at the same time being able to do whatever he wanted with whoever he wanted and she would never say or do anything. It is just not in her nature. Apparently she is almost dead behind the eyes and is happy just taking photos of herself and traveling the world. She would rather stay home then to have to get dressed to the level of what is expected. She would rather just watch television or talk to her friends. Her guy loves it. He goes out all of the time alone and is never asked about his life by her. Others close to her call him out, but not her.

She does often have that spaced out look about her, especially the time she was at that basketball game looking like she was tripping.
I think I'm the only person who has always felt that Bey is a little overrated. I don't dislike her and she is talented, but I've always felt she was a little more a product of top notch PR than her "Greatest Thing In The History of Recorded Music" aura.

I agree. She has talent, but I can't get over the PR machine that is her life. For all of her songs about self worth and empowerment, I want to see more fierceness and less Daria.

No entertainer with that much talent is that dumb. Beckham, for instance is not known as the sharpest tool in the box, but the way he took his talent to become a top ten football player at his peak then a world class celebrity with his wife without going off the rails denotes a certain understanding of the current celebrity climate.
Most entertainers are just a pile of PR driven hype. Bey is no exception.
This was evident in the elevator footage of Solange going off on JZ. She just stood there, and she wasn't aware there would be a video of it.
Focus might be too strong a word here. I can see Bey being capable of salivating, but beyond that, probably not.

I always get the impression that ALL Beyonce cares about is her image. She got married because she felt it would help her image, not because she was in love, so of course she doesn't care what Jay does. She seems like single-minded robot to me. Unlike Britney, which I think is a bizarre comparison, Beyonce seems like she's not even a real person most of the time.
I totally agree that she's overrated. I'm not denigrating her talent, but I don't think that she's any more *amazing* than any other singer out there. I like some of her songs, but not most of them, and her voice really isn't anything to write home about. Good, but not really special.
