Today's Blind Items- Anything To Get Ahead
A break from Golden Globes blinds for a minute to discuss this foreign born B+ list celebrity/singer/part-time actress. She has made what I thought to be every deal with the devil to get ahead and to move her career forward. Apparently though, she has more of her soul left to give. The B+ lister arranged to find several women ranging in age from 18-22 who want to make it big in the entertainment industry. They believed our B+ lister when she told them she could help them. She rattled off a series of names of people she has worked with and a bunch of projects she has been in. She said the first thing they needed to do was a nude photo shoot. This way they would attract the right attention from the right people. She knew just the person to take the shots too. when the women would go to the shoot, our B+ lister would be there to help guide them and part of that guiding was convincing the women to have sex with the photographer and also to film the sexual encounter. If you were not willing to have sex or to film it, the whole shoot lasted less than 30 minutes. These shoots will be used later if the women become famous and also to satisfy the debts of our B+ lister. She owed the photographer a great deal of money. Now, she has fully paid those debts and out photographer has a stash of private porn for his friends and to sell, especially if any of the women become famous.

I'd think if the women were dumb enough to do it, they most likely signed paperwork stating the photographer holds the copyright for the photos and films without understanding any of it. So, not blackmail just completely evil on the part of the B lister and photographer.
Lots of dumb women -- and men -- in Hollywood desperate to be famous that fall into this trap.

Anyway, people like Richardson are predators. They know exactly what to do and say to get what they want, and they know how to target vulnerable "stupid" people, they same way pedos about able to manipulate kids into thinking what they're doing is normal or OK.
So, I certainly do have sympathy for the victims of professional manipulators and predators.
it really is. and i understand the whole "no sympathy" attitude, but that's overlooking an enormous, horrendous, disgusting problem. which is that this sort of situation exists at all. fine, don't feel bad for the girls but at least feel outrage towards the fucked up manipulators who exploit dumb young girls with daddy issues.

Rita was dirt poor before being signed to Jay Z. She's from Albania and fled due conflict in her country. Not excusing her behaving so disgustingly, but I do think there is a darkness to her. She tricked those poor girls into doing the very same things she likely had to do to get ahead in music. Very lowdown
You know nothing of the girls backgrounds, emotional state or even if they were really of adult age. People add on years to their age if they think they can get ahead.
The majority of blame lies with the individuals who were in the position of power.
Sexually taking advantage of Hollywood wannabes is hardly a new story, and there are plenty of wannabe starlets arriving off the bus every day who are happy to try and sleep their way to the "top" (as this celeb, allegedly did). So these women may not be quite as naive as it might otherwise seem from this blind. Regardless, its still disgusting.
For a contract to be legal, there has to be some "consideration" for both entering parties. So I'm sure this contract indicates that the photographer in question has the ability (but not obligation) to use these nude photos for "promotional" purposes. He gets the rights to the photos, including any future cash value they may have, and they get any "publicity" generated by the photos. Cash? Not one red cent. Yeah, I don't think that's a particularly good trade either. The moral of this "story" is that if you want to take your clothes off for money, you need to be paid in cash, right then.
Filming actual sex, that's a different ball game. Filming consentual sex between adults is OK. . .but that material has to be kept private. Once you start selling it exhibiting it, etc, it legally constitutes pornography, and Federal law requires stringent recordkeeping of proof of age and identity for sex performers. If this guy filmed material that's he's going to distribute or sell later, and did NOT keep those detailed records (regardless of age of participants) he's potentially in deep doo-doo. If any participant were under age, he's potentially in deeper doo-doo. But if he followed the rules, well, see above.
I think many young women come to LA thinking that they can sleep their way into Hollywood. So while some of them may not quite understand what they're doing, some may not be quite innocent off the farm. Its pretty likely that some aren't, to put it politely, "virgins" either.
But innocent or not, they're still being taken advantage of. At the end of the day, if you're screwing on film, or even just giving someone else rights to naked pictures, you're supposed to be paid. Its not MUCH money, but its some money. This guy is worse than a pornographer, because at least those guys pay the performers!
And this guy better watch out. If I were the boyfriend, or brother, or parent of one of these models, I might want to meet this photographer for a little "discussion" about his business practices.
Nooo they're definitely not virginal or innocent lol. But you don't have to be innocent to be exploited. Prostitutes can be exploited. But yeah, I totally agree with you
