This former 80’s/90’s A list mostly movie actor who still has a big name has been kicked out of his church after undergoing surgery to save his life. He waited so long though, he still might not pull through.

Sad and I hope he pulls through. If your religion interferes with healthcare you should rethink your choices. The Doors movie was on last pm and I had forgotten how good/hot he was in his prime!
I worked for a Christian Scientist for one weekend as a home healthcare aide. She had cirrhosis of the liver (not an alcoholic, people can get that in other ways). She did not take her medication when I was there. She was waiting for a liver transplant. I thought, if she's not taking her medication, why on earth would people think she was going to take her anti-rejection medication after she gets a new liver? She's be at the bottom of my list for getting a new liver, always. What a waste of a liver.
I love Val. I hope he gets better.
Why do all these super religious nuts seem to forget basic things from the bible. Like "god" helps those who help themselves? Which means seeking proper medical care when it's needed. Seems to be right up there with "Do not judge lest ye be judged" "Treat others as you would like to be treated" or all the other phrases in the bible that deal with judgment.
How do people get so involved in any religion logic goes out the window? Can't look at Cruise seriously, Prince didn't have a will and someone with a health issue (and funds to help themselves) not do everything to live longer?
He's great in "The Doors" - he's even better in "Top Secret", which I know a lot of people don't care for, but I find gut splitting funny.
Not that I know of, Salaam. Taylor converted to Judaism for one of her husbands but wasn't a religious woman in general.
Prince had no body fat, so he used meds that were pain patches, the meds went to his brain, and organs instead of getting more evenly dispersed.
Sounds like both Christian Scientist and Scientology (and Johovah's Witnesses, actually) have some seriously crazy beliefs. Thankfully, most religions don't seem to think that way.
Sounds like these wackos did him a favor by kicking him out. Actors are some of the the weakest minded people.
I absolutely loved Val back in the day. I hope he pulls through and leaves that cult. He has too much talent to be a part of such a sham.
