I'm related to someone like this. 'Oh, he's the love of my life, yada, yada, yada, blah blah blah'...when she's known him for 8 days or some shit. Over & over & over.

@Kno, I keep seeing your posts about your troubles and feel terrible for you and your loved ones. This addiction business hurts so many others than just the selfish individuals who start at one point and end up way over their heads. I hope all resolves itself with as minimal damage as possible
My brother is an heroin addict and it sucks. He's clean right now but we'll see if it lasts. Luckily, he has never married and has no kids. I hate what it is doing to our mom though. She went into debt paying for his habit. It's really affecting my kids because their grandmother is too busy with the addict to be a grandmother. I don't want them to go to her house because he is there. It fucking sucks.
Drugs suck.
But she was never going to be happy with him anyway - it was just a double bearding.
We went through that between August 2015 & about last month-ish. I'm out literally thousands of dollars, she's been to rehab three times, the toddler's (her child's) father is in prison. This whole mess is a first in the history of my family going back to 1760, ffs.
I finally decided she's an adult, I've done everything I can and now we have to make sure her little boy has a normal life. If the addict won't avail herself of services that everyone's helped her to find & access...she's on her own.
We can't fix *her*, but we can take care of the little guy, who has no parents to protect him. He's basically being raised by Las Tres Abuelas and is happy as a clam.
"Mommy" is just the name of that woman he lived with when he was a baby.
Yup, two closet cases set up by cowell. Her gf is her former bandmate and lives in the UK, no wonder she is miserable.
My brother has done the rehab a few times too. One of the things mom has spent 1000s of dollars on. He was in jail from November last year until April and that's when he got "clean." For once my mom didn't bail him out and that's when he learned his lesson or so he says. I feel bad saying I'm waiting for him to relapse but it is what it is.
