She doesn't know it yet, but this B list actress who has a canceled television show every couple of years or some straight to on demand movie a couple of times a year, got her new tv job because of the producer. He doesn't believe in her acting talent but has always wanted to hook up with the married actress since he saw her in an iconic teen movie which is the only reason she has a career. He thinks having her around all the time will give him his shot.

Probably not. The "straight to on demand movie" bit doesn't work.
Weird blind. He didn't bag her to get the part?? Just hoping she will hook up with him at some point? This could be most producers that have a hot/fantasy woman on their project.

lol...i thought of her too but i figured she had such a successful tv show with a cult following w/her Buffy The Vampire Series(& admittedlymy own prejudice snuck in there b/c i find her soooo unattractive & sooo un-sexy) i just figured she didn't fit--So,in short, you probably got it!
