This happenened to me at Trader Joe's and I said, oh, I just made a payment I guess it didn't clear yet. (Which was true) and the cashier said, I can relate, I've been there. Most people who aren't rich have had this happen from time to time. Nice of her to step in though!
If only we had a Trader Joe's. This area just got a new second-rate TJ's called Lucky's (a big shot store chain in Colorado).
