ReplyDeleteIt did not. There were two sets of envelopes, on either side of the stage since presenters walked out from either side. The person from Price Waterhouse did not discard the previous unopened envelope for Best Actress and instead gave it to the next set of presenters, instead of the envelope for Best Picture.
ReplyDelete@Shorny, it would have come from Leo, as he presented the Best Actress Award. It probably was intentional on someone's part, don't know how far it was to go.
ReplyDeleteIt didn't. There are 2 accounting firm reps present at the Oscars. Each has a briefcase containing a full set of winners envelopes. A rep is stationed on each side of the stage so an envelope can be handed to a presenter no matter which side they enter from. Apparently, the rep who was supposed to hand the Best Picture envelope to Warren Beatty also had the alternate/other Best Actress envelope, became confused, and gave him the incorrect one.

But, why didn't Warren or Faye just say they had the wrong envelope?...if the envelope they had said Emma Stone?

ReplyDeleteWhy does Emma Stone always look 20 years older facially (with or w/o makeup) with the body of a pre-pubescent boy. Her lips are tragically thin and her cheeks are hollow asf. I'm reminded of the crypt keeper on that 90's show. When she was younger she was actually kind of HOT. It's barely been 10 years that she's been on the scene. What sort of life has she been leading?
