Yes, they are, in Sweden. Hollywood is another place (in another time) and not so free spirited. If Alex wants to work there, he will do whatever Hollywood is asking him to do and that means even staying in the closet.
Have you seen Alexander in Big Little Lies? He and Nicole are amazing/heartbreaking together. And I don't think this is him.
Are people sure Alexander is gay? As the other poster said Sweden is very liberal about homosexuality not a big deal there. But then again he did beard for the lesbian Ellen Page.
I don't think it's him because most people know him from TV, where he is popular, his starring role movies were bombs. If he isn't gay, you think he could do better than Alexa Chung. Where he is from means nothing, some of the biggest liberal types are the deepest closet cases.
Ellen Page planned her outing without informing her people. She was simply ready to get past the bearding but I'm not sure if she thought anything about what the announcement would do to Alexander Skarsgård since they were both bearding. She changed her style (boyish) immediately afterwards.
