Well gag gag did basically copy Madonna's shtick... But then on the other hand, Madonna is plenty old enough to be wise and feel pitty that gags couldn't do it on her own.

It would mean more if the Old Diva had talent, such as Barbara Streisand.
As far as I am concerned, Barbara can be a diva anytime she wants!
When a couple of the younger diva's biggest hits are ripoffs of the older's hits there are sometimes hard feelings.
Madonna had an AMAZING run (until 2008 when she sold out and started making childish garbage) but she messed up and her run is now OVER.
Lady Gaga was hot for like 2 years, stole of bunch of Madonna's baselines/hooks and is actually quite irrelevant today.
Even though Madonna is over she can and will always sell out big tours.

Madonna has plenty of talent. She may not have a Streisand voice, but her ability to put on a show is head and shoulders above what Barbra can do.
We generally define talent here as "really good at singing/acting". The ability to put on an entertaining show is a talent of sorts, but not what we're looking for.
Everytime Gaga releases a single Madonna fans seem to constantly throw the 'she ripped off x track' yet they never sound anything alike. There's a real unhealthy obsession there with Madonna's fans and Gaga and Madonna seem to have been drawn into it.
Gaga's far from irrelevant though, GG win, Oscars performance, SB performance, #1 album & single(s) and dates for her tour sold out in minutes.
Whereas Madonna at 60 just a few months ago promised to give out blowjobs to any men that vote for Hillary Clinton. Just reeks of an older women who can't accept her time is up.
