ReplyDeleteFound it interesting that the Met allegedly banned attendees under 18 for the first time, as this is not an “appropriate” event for them. Ummmm...ok, good for you. The other 364 days a year, the industry feeds off the under 18 set.

ReplyDeleteI read an article over the weekend that desceibed the current iteration of the Met Ball as "a Halloween party for reality stars". Add to that "and assorted wannabes, sadly lacking in the A-list number of attendees of yore" and you've got it.

ReplyDeleteSerious question--what do the ladies do with the trains on these dresses that are dozens of feet long? Are they attached to the dress only for the photos and then removed once the lady enters the party?

But the trains are so extreme, they have to be removed at some point, right?
It's cruel to make these people spend a whole evening without anyone under age 18 around.

ReplyDeleteMany, if not all, of the trains are detachable. Once they get inside, off comes the heavy train before dinner or whatever they do in there.
