The beehive is large enough to get her a #1 album but she didn't exactly break records doing it.
This song exists to get her an Oscar, not a hit single. I'm not much for Beyonce, but I will say that she clearly hasn't been trying to get radio hits from her last few albums. She knows how it goes in the world of pop, women over 35 might as well be 75 when it comes to radio programmers. Whether it's her decision or her team's, she's been smart to not desperately chase after the youth market and has been going for critical acclaim instead. Why her recent music has been so critically acclaimed is beyond my understanding, but it has been.
Beyonce should not take parts that rely on her having to talk.
