I have a kindness request for you. Kyle
Fleishmann,an acquaintance from Elon University (Class of '06), has
been missing for nearly a week. I have included the most recent
information/background below and attached a flyer. I know that CDAN is
a gossip blog and that Charlotte, North Carolina is all the way across
the country, but we are trying to get the attention of as many media
outlets as possible. Some of Kyle's classmates have started a website
with the latest news on the search and a link to an account that has
been set up to support the search.

This is the Press Release:
Kyle Fleischmann, a 24-year-old Elon University graduate and Charlotte
resident, disappeared during the early hours of Friday, Nov. 9th,
sometime around 2:00 a.m. Security cameras show him leaving the
Buckhead Saloon in uptown Charlotte at 2:20 a.m. Earlier that evening,
Fleischmann had attended the Dane Cook show at the Bobcats Arena with
a handful of close friends. Following the show, the group went to the
Buckhead Saloon for a few drinks.
We do not know where Kyle went after leaving the bar, we do know that
he made three phone calls - one to his sister at 2:19, one to his best
friend – Daniel Scagnelli at 3:28, and one to his roommate – Bruce
Mottern, at 3:29. No one answered these calls and Fleischmann did not
leave messages. He has not been in contact with his friends or family
since then, and his phone is presumably dead, with all calls going
straight to voicemail. He left his debit card and coat at the Buckhead
Saloon and it is believed that he was not carrying any cash.
All of the jails, hospitals, and detox centers in the surrounding
Charlotte area have been checked and have not admitted Fleischmann,
nor anyone under the name "John Doe." A missing persons report was
filed with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department at 10:00 p.m.
on Friday, Nov. 9. At this point Cab companies and their drivers have
been notified. Video footage from in and around Buckhead Saloon was
reviewed; however, it did not turn up any results that was beneficial
to our search. We have also looked in to media cameras, but their
coverage is live and does not provide recorded information.
A private investigation agency has been newly assigned to Kyle's case
and will help us to progress in Kyle's search from here on out.
Description
Fleischmann is 6' and around 180 lbs. He has green eyes and brown
hair. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, jeans, and black dress
shoes. His hair was gelled and probably looked a little darker than
his natural color.

Good luck, GammaGirl. I'll keep him in my prayers. My son's friend has been missing for almost a month. My heart goes out to these families.
I am orginally from North Carolina and have friends from there on myspace because of that I have posted this as a Bulletin in hopes that it will continue to get re-posted and someone will be able to help provide answers.
This reeks of foul play, I'm from WI originally and went to college for a bit in LaCrosse, we had a string of similar incidents, and there have been patterns of this happening in a certain geographic area over the past ten years.

Some of the phone companies offer GPS on their phones. I sure wish this guy had it on his.

Just in case people were wondering, they were able to track Kyle's cell to a tower near the bar where he was last seen, but it hasn't resulted in any major leads.

The biggest development today is that this case may be linked with the case of Justin Gaines in Duluth, Georgia. Justin disappeared exactly one week before Kyle and was last seen leaving a bar at closing time. Frighteningly similar circumstances. Here's a link

I'm sorry to hear about this happening to someone you know. We recently moved to Duluth, and Justin's story is on every restaurant and store window. I hope Kyle's situation is getting enough coverage -- that's how these things are solved. Love and luck to everyone involved.

The latest update with the search for Kyle is that massive searches have begun to take place in uptown charlotte

Searches are expected to take place all weekend.
Kyle's story has yet to air on GMA or the Today show (his dad was on Greta Van Sustern last night) so many people have directed their efforts at the major news networks.
I don't know the latest on this case being related to Justin Gaines, but I'm sure we'll find out more about that soon
