Led Zeppelin To Tour

In an interview with blabbermouth.net, Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page said the huge demand for the December 10 show in London was so incredible, it made the group realize that maybe they had something which could make them a little dough. Jimmy gave the PC answer by saying, "It's a bit silly not to because there is such massive demand…It's a bit selfish to do just one show." Sure, it's selfish. The fact that an estimated $30M would come your way for a few weeks work has nothing to do with it either.

It's kind of like how the Spice Girls Tour went from a few select dates to a massive world tour with multiple nights in many cities. I'm sure they are only doing it to make sure people don't think they are selfish. Why on earth is it selfish to just play one show? You told everyone in advance it was going to be one show only. You could make it available live on the internet for free if you were so concerned about being selfish. Of course if you made it free, and live, then who the hell would want to pay $150 to come see you play the ABC Auto Parts Arena in anytown USA.

I think it is cool to go on tour and to make as much money as you can possibly load into your bank accounts. What I think sucks is when you say you are going to take your fan's money but are doing it only for noble reasons. Be a rock star. Don't be a politician or some guy aiming for a Sir.

Classic Led Zep is my favorite band in the world. Not sure I want to see them on stage in their twilight years. It may be too sad to watch.

This is blasphemy. Who are you to question God's right to go on a world tour?
