What Exactly Are Rihanna's Injuries?
Depending on which site you read at any particular moment, the injuries Rihanna allegedly sustained at the hands or mouth of Chris Brown range from a scratch all the way to horrific. So, what exactly are her injuries, and aren't we all going to look like idiots if Chris Brown didn't actually do what everyone has convicted him of already?
According to TMZ, Rihanna was bitten on her arms and fingers and contusions on both sides of her face and that she accuses Chris of using his fists in the attack. They also said the policeman they spoke to had seen the photos and described the injuries as "horrific."
The Los Angeles Times would only say that Rihanna had some bruises and a scratch on her face.
E! Online doesn't talk about the injuries in their report, but does say that Rihanna canceled her well publicized and completely sold out Malaysia show which was scheduled for Friday. She is expected to make up that date at some point in the future.
US Weekly has gone with the Los Angeles Times version of injuries and also stated that Chris Brown had decided against performing at the NBA All Star game this weekend. He has also left the state of California on a private plane no less, although he is due back for an arraignment on March 5th.
MSNBC is going with the more sensationalized version of the injuries, and also announced that Wrigley had dropped Chris Brown's commercials for the chewing gum.
Oh, and on a side note. All of the sites use the quote from Rihanna's rep where the rep says, "Rihanna is well. Thanks for your concern and support." Umm, I don't think she is well and I think it does a disservice to try and give some politically correct answer in a situation like this. How about something that say she hurts like hell, is mad as hell and feels like crap, but thanks for your concern and support. When you say that she is well, it just kind of sounds pretentious and fake.

apparently she isn't the one who called 9-1-1, and i read she was seen with chris about seven hours after all this happened. of course her publicist is going to give a benign and nebulous statement on her behalf. she's not ready to let go of this toxic relationship yet. makes me sad that someone so young is staying with someone so fucked up when she doesn't have to. i get that women do this when they have a baby and don't have the means to support themselves, but this is different.
Well, I gave my dog a haircut yesterday, and I have bite marks on my hands and arms.

There was I time when I didn't understand how the victim couldn't see the harm coming to them from staying in the relationship. I have since learned that the abuser gets to them psychologically before they actually physically abuse them.
If that is what happened in this case it will be harder for her to realize she needs to leave this man or to press charges.
I've been in the company of several abused women and sometimes all you can do is support the woman who have the courage and the mindset to leave and press charges. Those who decide to stay we can only pray for them.
If he has emotionally and psychologically abused her than she won't press charges and at this time her publicist can't say too much.
I hope that this is all being blown out of proportion, but with both of them cancelling their committments I feel that she is more than just an emotional wreck. But whether she feels the public needs to know the extent of her relationship problems is another story. I hope she has a lot of support with people that care about her well being.
they're young.....they're spoiled...they're used to getting their own way...they argued...something happened...happens to 50% of people their age.....only problem for them is they're famous. Not saying its cool if he hit her.....nor would it be cool if she hit him. But too many "reliable sources" being quoted for me to have an opinion other than wake me when it matters.
If she was ok or if it really wasn't her in the car I think she would want to make a high profile appearance. I doubt that she would lay low just to get publicity and public sympathy because considering the circumstances people are on her side anyway.
I'm inclined to think that the injuries are serious, not life threatening, but real and serious.

I've read a jillion versions of this deal. These two were so private when they first started dating that I wonder if the real story will ever come out?
Please do NOT take this as a defense, but the bite(s) may have been to get an arm, leg or whatever body part off or away from his body.
I can see biting as a defense, but I think we might have heard if he had scratches or any other kind of wounds on him. Of course, I don't think any of that would've mattered to anyone, so maybe they didn't report it. I don't know, I just think biting is uncalled for. Just my thoughts.
Biting?!?!!?!? Mike Tyson!!!! If this relationship has been abusive before now then she might have also been abused as a child. We never really know. I just can't imagine why any man would beat a woman with his fists. Very sad.

"I feel like, just as a person, I don’t care how famous she is or even if she just worked at McDonald's, that should never happen. It should never come to that place."
As sad as this situation is, it really doesn't surprise me. I have seen pictures of her in the last 6 months with makeup & sunglasses covering bruises on her face. Just like someone else said the douches at the big recording studio will try to cover this up because of the money machine Chris has been...that's even a sadder part of the situation. Hopefully, Rihanna has enough good people around her to support her through this.

I don't know much about law but is Chris Brown supposed to be leaving the state when he's under investigation?
I'm quite familiar with domestic violence and am sure that if he was capable of this much damage in public, imagine what has happened behind closed doors.
I know statistics show that the victim will stay with the abuser, but I just think with THIS much publicity and everyone knowing your business, how can she NOT leave him?
I mean what kind of example will she be setting? I bet her people will not let it happen. Especially Jay-Z.
I know it is unfortunate for her to have this play out in public (I can not imagine that) but maybe, just maybe being famous will actually save her life.
And yet I just heard another conflicting statement about the incident. I won't repeat it because the general consensus seems to be that he abused her and she's a victim.
Every time I hear a statement that he really didn't do anything to her I tend to believe it. Why? Because when I see her in public she seems to be flaunting her tough as nails image. She also didn't seem to really be into him. So in reality I just can't imagine Rihanna caring enough to take shit off of Chris.
I'm not defending him but she looks mean enough to kick his ass if he even dreamed about hitting her.
I don't know what the hell happened but the hype and all of the rumors are annoying.

On the other hand she does seem smitten by Jay Z so if the rumor had been about her and Jay Z I could definitely visualize that scenario.
I agree there are two sides to every story and she does have that too good to be true perception of herself, but no way I'm believing this was the first time he's abused her. Also, know matter what kind of diva devil person she really is, she doesn't deserve to have her face kicked in over it either.
If he didn't beat on her, you would have seen RiRi out in public by now or at least a pic. Their people were trying to sell that bullshit story of RiRi getting into a car accident. That right there says that there is something visibly wrong with her. At the very least, something that she can't hide with makeup or a set of huge sunglasses. I also think that having playing this out in public must suck big time but it very well may be a blessing in disguise to end this fuckery once and for all.
From my experience of dating an abuser, I think he has probably done this to her before. It starts slow then builds to full on pummeling like she got.
BlahFrickinBlah , I also thought at this point she would make some type of appearance to set the record straight. Obviously she can't/doesn't want to be seen in public, which leads me to believe her inhuries are on the severe side.
she never called the cops, a witness did who saw it and heard her screaming.

Jax - She reminds me of Bouncey. All attitude, with nothing to back it up (Beyonce is apparently really spineless with Jay Z - hence the 'alter ego'. 'Because thats what women from the South are meant to act like' to paraphrase a blind item).
People that have to show how tough/sexy/etc they are to the world, seem to always have self esteem issues. We don't know what she is like behind closed doors, when the mask is off.
It's obvious by now that he beat the crap out of her and she is being pressured (or is scared) to press charges and cooperate with police.
What she doesn't understand is if she attempts to sweep this under the rug to protect Chris, her own career will take a nosedive. There aren't very many women, young or old, who will support a woman who allows a woman-batterer to run around among society without being punished.
She will never recover.
