That's what's so funny about Jessica Simpson's pregnancy, compared to Beyoncé's: Apparently, Jessica is due in late March!!! That woman is so pregnant, and happily too.

Pookie - hair always looks glorious during pregnancy - the hormones and also you don't lose any. One of the biggest shocks was all my hair falling out afterwards, nobody told me the body plays catch up.

Can someone explain to me the reason the media- which is famously liberal- is so obsessed with the royal family? It seems so hypocritical, and really, I don't understand why conservatives or liberals alike in the USA should care (I studied history and understand the culture portion).

So I have to say, people saying a pregnant woman "looks due any day now" has become a pet peeve of mine. I never realized why before I got pregnant, but now that I am, it's really kind of hurtful. My boss in particular keeps making comments like "I think you're having twins" or "Doesn't she look huge?!" He almost made me cry this morning in front of another employee. You're basically just saying we look really fat. Back off. Also, if I were having twins, I'd fucking know by now, thanks.
I'm with RQ here, even though we are not saying it to her face, it is a bit beeatchy to guess twins. Jessica is short and short waisted, her belly doesn't have a long torso to hide in. It's all out there. I'd much rather see a happy pregnant woman who is excited for her state in life than a pillow folding narcissist any day.
RQ my sister had the same issue, she just had a big boy growing inside her. Your boss is an ass.

Every woman shows differently, I'm at 6 months now, & show a lot less than JS, but as flip said, she's short & doesn't have as much torso room to stow away the belly. Plus, it's her first, and mot women I know go all the way with the whole eating for two deal with their first pregnancy.
Jessica looks gorgeous, she is glowing and she does not look ready to pop, she has a short torso, I looked just like that and hated the comments.

Thanks, guys. When you add his comments to the fact that he KNOWS I had an eating disorder about 6 years ago, plus I'm only 5'1" so of course my belly's going to be huge for my height and frame, I'm seriously considering taking my maternity leave early.

I made my comment because I have twins, and I looked like Jessica right before I gave birth. I'm 5'7, Jessica is 5'5, big boobed, and short-waisted like me. That's where my comment came from, but I heard I was "huge" before I ever got pregnant.
@RQ. At 7 months two male coworkers pulled me aside to tell me I should be careful about overeating. At that point I asked the next 10 people who walked by who looked more pregnant - me or the two male coworkers. FWIW, that was 5 years ago and they are still just as fat.
@txtommom - I do believe I would have punched my two male coworkers in the face had they dared do that to me! wow - rudeness!
I had intense cravings for cheeseburgers when I was pregnant with my second (so I wasn't exactly tiny during that time) and everyone kept telling me "Your kid is going to be so huge! You are setting him up for a lifetime of fat!" - Hello - less than 7 pounds at birth and struggling to find "slim" pants for him now at 4 years of age. Every pregnancy, every body, every baby is different...

I'm shocked at some of the things people say to pregnant women, and I don't think Jessica looks that big either. She's short. Short people show earlier and "higher" than taller women. That's what Beyonce should have looked like three months ago if she were really pregnant, because she's kind of short (not as short as Jessica, but still short) and had a voluptuous figure to start with.
I am short and I was HUGE! I was so glad when people looked at me and said OMG because that meant they could see it too. I could barely walk by the end because the baby was pressing so hard on my hips. He was on time and 11 pounds.
RQ, my own dear Mum told me "Your ass is getting big" in front of some friends. I could have died.
All I could say was "Well, I am pregnant."

It's just different bodies. My sister is 5'9 and was huge. I've seen short women at 9 months who only look 5 months in.
Jessica Simpson looks radiant. I don't know why it's okay to poke fun at her on all the gossip sites. Some of us get HUGE during pregnancy, so I don't quite understand the jokes. Maybe it's because people think she's adorable? I am liking her more and more - she looks ecstatic.
Valerie Bertinelli is looking great these days, too. She was one of my favorites back in the '70's.

I always giggle when I see Valerie Bertinelli because of something my husband said once. He said the most embarrassing thing that could happen to a guy is if you (the guy) started dating Valerie Bertinelli and you didn't really know much about her and you try to impress her by saying, "yeah, I play a little guitar."

Wills is "carrying his own umbrella," but he's keeping himself dry while Kate is only partially covered. (The umbrella design doesn't help much.) It started a torrential downpour after my cousin's wedding and there's a photo of them leaving the church; he's holding the umbrella and smiling so brightly, and she'd getting rained on in her dress and trying to shield herself with her hand. Clueless men.
Speaking of which, it took a lot of convincing to tell my then-boyfriend that pregnant woman do NOT want to be called huge. (He said it at a Christmas party to a co-worker and thought she should be flattered, if she was happy to be pregnant. Dude, No.) I said "glowing" or "healthy" were ok words, but "huge" is never never never ok! (Especially since she was only 5 months along.) I do hope I convinced him....

I've never been pregnant, but 98% of my friends have been & knowing it's not exactly the most comfortable/glamourous position to be in, I cannot fathom someone being so heartless in their remarks, like you guys have mentioned. :(

Yah are we sure about Jessica's approximate due date? I'm due April 18th, so I'd be surprised if she's only 3 weeks ahead of me. Maybe it's sooner?
Not to be snarky, cuz she looks adorable, but I'm 5"2 as well, similar in size and stature to her except I'm naturally heavier than she is, and I'm a fraction of her size. Maybe it is just the boobs. My fiancee keeps wondering when his two "bundles of joy" will grow. Or maybe I'll double in size over the next month. I keep waiting for that to happen so I can park in the expectant mom spots without feeling like an imposter.
