Don Grady Has Died

Don Grady, who played Robbie Douglas on the 1960-72 sitcom My Three Sons – and, at age 12, was a Mouseketeer on Walt Disney's original The Mickey Mouse Club – died Wednesday in Thousand Oaks, Calif., after a battle with cancer. He was 68.

He was also a well received musician with a couple of albums and a lot of TV themes and incidentals. A very nice guy, too.
This one seems to have hit boomers pretty hard, the show was such a part of 60's TV.

Oh, makes me think of my late sister, she had such a crush on him. You'll be in good company with my Big Sis.
RIP.

Aw, My Three Sons was one of my favorite shows to watch after school. I've been humming the theme ever since I heard the news that he had died. Maybe not the most appropriate response, actually. It's not exactly funereal....

As much as I love pop culture, and especially Baby Boomer pop culture, I have never in my life seen an episode of "MTS." That said, this is sad, and when I told my mom, she said she had a crush on him. :-(

He was GORGEOUS when he was on "My Three Sons". I had such a crush on him.

I loved watching reruns of MTS as a kid. I can't remember which one was Robbie. Was he the oldest?

Robbie was the middle son.

I'm not a boomer, but MTS was wonderful. As has already been mentioned, Don Grady was a very talented musician and songwriter, and a very nice guy and good person. Really a shame; 68 is way too young to go.

Rip. he seemed like a decent guy.

The eldest son was Tim Considine who was in the show for only a year or two. When he went off the show , they brought Chip in . So lots of folks will think of Robbie as the eldest, but he was the middle. And isn't it ridiculous that I remember that. Laughing at myself :)

The adopted son was Ernie...who in real life was Chips brother. Chip was the third of the real three sons and then they took in Ernie

Robbie was the best looking. And later they all married blond girls who all looked like Fred McMurray's second wife ....

I forgot that Chip and Ernie were brothers. damn senility.

I know wayyy too much about this show! Loved reading the trivia comments. Was off the air before I was born, but I grew up on the re-runs and I too had a crush on him. I know that the girl who played the oldest Bradford sister on Eight is Enough was his sister - Lani O'Grady. But, was their last name Grady or O'Grady? One of them changed it. I know she died of a drug OD years ago - most of those kids went off the deep end (granted it was filmed in the late seventies).

Okay, I have a question to ask. Am I the only one who wanted to be on the Mickey Mouse Club when they were a kid? Granted, they never filmed it when I was the right age, but still...lol I think that the 1st season of Facts of Life had almost all the girls in the 70's version of MMC...stupid trivia that my mind somehow stores...

I had a Mickey Mouse hat when I was little (a hand me down, nobody could afford a Disney trip)and we had our own little club. We took turns being Annette Funicello.

Oh most definitely we all pretended to be Annette but I really wanted to be a Lennon Sister more. Preferably Janet.

Glad it wasn't just me. I lived in FL and we used to get day passes for $25...then I worked for Disney in my early 20's...I think I still have a hat or 2 w/my name on it...lol had forgotten all about those...
