Matt Lauer Sucks

After reading article after article the past month with the New York Magazine article this weekend the icing on top, one thing is certain to me. Matt Lauer loves himself and himself only and is a huge ass. Is that two things? I as hoping it was just one thing because if it is two things I feel forced to make a list and it will be way longer than just two things. The article says that Matt Lauer can't stand Ann Curry and was not going to work with her anymore. he could say that because ABC was offering him a contract and Matt was getting ready to bolt. Can you imagine if he had? NBC might be in first place and ABC probably would have had to fire Robin Roberts because Matt would feel her cancer was taking away from his airtime.

The today execs created this monster and continue to feed him despite the bad press and bad ratings the show has received. I don't feel bad for Today but I do feel bad for al Roger cause he's the last genuinely nice guy left on that show, he didn't get his job kissing Matt's pale butt.; 9:45 AM

Jeneral said...: Very interesting article. I can't believe how unprofessional some of the top brass were at NBC. But Ann never stood a chance. Matt never tried to work on their chemistry, made her visibly uncomfortable on camera, and basically undermined her every chance he got.; 10:37 AM

Anywho, back in the day he was on a show in Rhode Island (I live in Mass and we share a lot of programming in these little states}
He was supposed to be a real asshole to work with and the gil he worked with became an alcoholic and it was always rumored that working with him helped it along . That was the rumor . No clue if it was true or not but to me he always came across as a phony dick head even when he did that little show.; 10:55 AM

pismire said...: I seem to be in the minority in that I don't mind Lauer's on-air persona but Ann Curry drove me crazy. Say what you will about Lauer, he does seem interested in intelligent examination of events whereas Curry was all about orchestrating how you, the viewer FEEL about events. I found her milking of emotions sanctimonious, ghoulish and smug. That said, the Today Show continues its downward spiral away from news with ever more pointless info-tainment and that trend has not ended with Curry's departure. She is not, however, the wounded kitten/Lauer's victim that people make her out to be.; 1:39 PM

He is a himbo who should have had those segments called, Where In The World Is Matt Lauer's Pecker, Today?" Another thing no one will accept- Katie Couric is dumb. I mean, really not bright, not in the least inquisitive, and terribly pissy if she has to deal with something she can't understand, as in, even after its been broken down, if anyone seems in the least shocked about it, all hell breaks loose. Bryant Gumbel-smart, handsome, and a jackass with a smartass mouth. Jane Pauley-smart, hard working, classy. Deborah Norville-med.intelligence, super sweet and giving, easy to deal with. I totally agree with you! I could not stomach Curry's interviews. She made me gag, and she had no sense of humor. Matt did not really bother me, but he is an ass.

I believe Couric is dumb by the way she does interviews, but she did nail Sarah Palin. She will forever be special for that.
