A month ago this A list mostly television actress was telling her friends that she was looking for a new guy and didn't see her relationship with her boyfriend going anywhere. She even had a blind date set up. One little thing changes the whole thing. She is apparently miserable.

I agree with the Zooey guess, Sofia could have just said no if she didn't want to get engaged.
If the only reasons she's marrying him is the baby, then she's an idiot. And a baby is not "one little thing."

The fetus may not be a "little thing" metaphorically, but it is tiny (physically) for the moment. But the pregnancy is no reason to marry someone you were going to drop, I agree.
Zooey looks miserable. I foresee a long engagement, excuses of wanting to wait till she can fit in a dress, blah blah, then them breaking up after an "acceptable amount of time," issuing a we love each other and will blissfully co parent as the best friends we are line...
